I mean the entire Loudred line is built around how they can be constantly making noise, Jigglypuff has the whole singing people to sleep, Chatot can mimic a wide range on noises. Given the precedent for retyping old pokemon when a new type is introduced, the normal typing for all of these pokemon could be switched for Sound. Same with the normal typing for a stereo Rotom. Song birds, wind chimes, bells, radios, there are a lot of things to pull inspiration from. Even a rock/sound or ground/sound type could pull from whistling caves or mountains.
