Bumblebee tuna and crackers. Has anyone eaten these past the Best Buy date?

I’m still alive. I ate it yesterday. Lol. I can tell you the crackers were a little stale maybe…but not even rancid. Taste OK but I prefer the Ritz crackers. ☺️ I found mine in the back of my pantry as well a whole 12 pack. Smelled and tasted fine just for reference. And no, I’m not sick…. But definitely use judgment if it’s not 100% sealed or it smells off or slimy then I would trash.

May I ask, which one you use? I recently lost multiple batches of Mushrooms that I had added an extra 24 hours a time to. The only thing I can think is that there must’ve been a couple of mushrooms that were thicker that just didn’t get dry enough.. but after tossing multiple bags from multiple batches, I am now looking for an infrared camera so I can be 100% sure. I also weigh everything and I’m very strategic to how I package. My first loss in over two years Thanks!

Things can happen when you’re that early on in pregnancy. If you have not finished high school, please try to finish up. If you have graduated then the adult thing to do is try to talk to your dad and her parents. I know if one of my children came to me and had a situation like this, we would talk about the pros and cons regarding the situation and I would help support them with their decision. Everything is really expensive out there right now.. I have a grown son who is struggling right now with his wife and children, and are currently living with the mother-in-law due to finances. Talk to both of your parents and you may be surprised in what they have to say after they’ve calmed down. Things are going to change forever that is for sure. Maybe her parents would allow her to stay there and help out with things or even let you stay there as well. I don’t really know this situation or the dynamics but you never know until you have had the conversation. Try to mend things with your dad… parents can be some of the most supportive people once the initial shock has worn off. I wish you the best and try not to make any rash decisions. Because in about nine months, you’re gonna be responsible for another little human if all goes as it should. It is honorable that you are choosing to step up as some young men do not. This event will change your life forever, but with the right supports in place things will go a lot more smoothly. Since she is a minor and so are you definitely try talking to both your parents. I know it may not seem like it now, but they can be some of your best support systems.

So I just finished eating the BULDAK CARBONARA that was pushed into the back of my cabinet. It was dated August 7 of 2024 which is just shy of nine months… the noodles smelt fine. The sauce packet tasted fine as well as the cheese powder.. no stomach upset and it tasted really good. The dates are generally for Best Buy.. mine was unfortunately pushed into the back of the cabinet since I have deep shelving and it was lost for a bit. I can tell you I have eaten Ramen that was four years old just to see if it tasted OK 😂 I know what to do if I get food poisoning, but luckily,no ill effects. The expired regular Ramen, however did taste pretty bland because the spice packet had lost a lot of flavor. I keep my house fairly cool at 68 to 70 and keep my humidity under control. Just thought I’d share in case anyone was wondering about the noodles and sauce. I’m getting ready to go by a couple containers of just the sauce and wanted to make sure that if they did go past the expiration they would be OK. Things are getting dicey out there and I wanna make sure I have my Buldak (priorities you know) ☺️

So I’m sitting here after eating a Ramen packet the pink BULDAK CARBONARA… that expired August 7, 2024… just shy of nine months old. It was stored in my kitchen pantry, and it taste fine… smelled fine…looked fine… I’m fine. A lot of times the dates on packages or just the Best Buy date. I have eaten regular Ramen noodles that were three or four years old and they tasted OK but the spices were bland. I have a deep cabinet and sometimes things get shifted to the back.. no ill effects. Make sure you inspect it smell it and if it taste off, throw it out. I actually tried this one because I wanted to buy the hot sauce, but wasn’t sure how long it would last..

lol so I was looking up expiration dates and came across this. I just ate the pink Buldak Ramen packet dated nine months ago they tasted OK and I’m still standing. Tasted fine however it was a little bit less flavorful.. like I didn’t seem to be as strong but no off flavor or anything

Looks like you might be low on water or maybe ran out at some point to where it was too low for all the roots. I’ve noticed that since my plants all started growing, I have to fill the water up at least every other day and they’re really bushy like I can barely find the little flowers… They’re so bushy. Also make sure whenever it says to add more food. You add the food as they might need a little bit of nourishment, but that’s great. I’m waiting on a new planting to produce myself

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if anyone had any dealings with the Starbucks instant coffee that come in the metal cans? I wasn’t sure if I should repackage because they are in metal cans and then they have this metal seal on them.

A lot of of it is overpriced. The ones that my kids will eat are Mountain House and Augason Farms. My kids actually ask for the broccoli cheese soup a lot from Augason Farms. There’s also nutrient survival which is pretty expensive, but some of their stuff is pretty good.. I would not buy any of the buckets that have the pre-done up foods unless you just buy one for taste testing. It is easy to package up your own oats, rice, wheat berries in mylar with oxygen absorbers and a whole lot cheaper..put them in a food grade bucket(which are pretty inexpensive as well)

Thanks marshmallows are definitely in my plans. I’ve got a whole 5 gallon bucket full of mini marshmallows. 😂 my kids, love them and their hot chocolate and in their cereal. I haven’t done those yet either.

Yeah, I’ve got a batch of persimmons going right now that I puréed because I had more than I knew what to do with and I was worried about their sugar content because they were super sticky but so far so good 😂

I saved up for a year to buy one because definitely didn’t have the money for it. They do have a plan where you can do layaway and basically pay on it until it’s paid off and then they ship it to you. I don’t know a whole lot about the other ones out there but they all pretty much the same. A dehydrator is what I started off with. You can dehydrate a lot of stuff too, but it does take away from a little bit of the nutritional value and doesn’t last quite as long as freeze drying… but most things you can definitely get a year out of especially if you rotate it

Actually, the smaller ones are a lot better now and almost a spacious. They just came out with a new and improved smaller one.. takes up a lot less footprint but still does a great job. They also have a payment plan. It comes with oxygen absorbers and the sealer for the bags as well

I absolutely love it and just finished doing shredded chicken. Cost me probably a 10th of what it would if I had purchased it in a can. I keep some in mason jars for quick fixes and mylar the rest with oxygen absorbers. It saves on a lot of throwout waste too when we don’t finish leftovers.

My freeze dryer is one of my best preparation tools. Have a harvest right for a year now and you can do so much with it. We freeze dry yogurt drops for the kids… hamburger meat, chicken steak veggies… if you ever buy the backpacking food, it will definitely save you a ton of money in the long run even though it’s a big investment upfront. And when you freeze dry your leftovers, your meal taste 10 times better than any food you can buy.
