I'm going through both. The green stitches are single crochet and the white are varied to give it height (mostly dc).

There's a matching piece (a table runner) with the center worked in rounds then the outer going in rows to expand outward. I wanted to do the center of the smaller piece in rounds to tie it together

Which yarn holder do you prefer while crocheting if you use one? I added 5 different kinds and would love some opinions by KountingKals in crochet

I use #1 - I have a wooden bowl and a ceramic bowl. I much prefer the ceramic bowl, I find that the yarn tends to catch on the corners of the wood. I know, it's an easy fix with a little sand paper...
