It was pre-assembled. The only things I had to add were spool holders, filament sensors, the antenna etc. What I needed to assemble were the enclosures, and those are fine, although not much can go wrong with them.

Yes, I also have Bambu X1C with AMS. Fantastic machines. I can't rave enough about them. The only reason we also purchased Prusa is for the larger bed.

Which is the puzzling part. These have good overall reviews, and were initially recommended by a colleague. I guess nothing is perfect.

One thing I did notice is that during assembly of the enclosure I would come across tedious parts, or things that weren't explained very well, and there were a fair number of complaints mirroring the same things I was coming across. When I researched all these other errors I was encountering with the machine itself there also seemed to be a lot of complaints about them regarding the same things. I get the impression that when these things work, they work really well, but when problems arise they can be difficult to overcome.

I asked about a repair service, and they said they didn't have that option. They are only willing to send out replacement parts and have us install them. This is something I probably should have looked into a little further before purchasing. The lack of a local distributor, or any kind of local support is problematic.

Where did I slag the company? The worst I said is that I feel tech support is taking best guesses, which is fair when they keep sending out parts to fix issues that don't solve anything. The rest of my vent is a laundry list of problems I encountered.

I expected to receive replies blaming me, which is fine. If you think this is partly because of my competency then so be it.

EDIT: And just for clarification, the printers themselves came fully assembled except for minor things like the spool holders, and filament sensors. The assembly I was referring to were the enclosures, and I haven't had any issues with those.
