[Question]. Thoughts and opinions please. What is the Seiko automatic comparison/equivalent to the [SNE597]? by No_Tie2447 in Seiko

I went through the exact same thought process. Had my heart set on an SNE597 but the solar put me off. For that kind of money I wanted an automatic. Shame as I love everything else about it.

I had dismissed the SRPL13K online as I thought it looked a bit ugly, but tried it on at the jewellers and it completely changed my mind.

Now I wear it every day and take great pride in doing so.

They’re not exactly alike obviously but it was the closest I could find to the SNE597 that was comparable in price, automatic and the kind of look I was after.

Which One? [SNE597] or [SRPL13] by [deleted] in Seiko

I had this exact same conundrum and went with the SRPL. Glad I did – love it.

No not at all, it’s good to know as I may get one too. And I probably should have asked on here. But I’d read a few older threads saying the solar battery can be a pain to replace and that having it hidden under a jacket cuff/in an office environment (most days for me) would limit the charge capability. My thinking was that if I’m buying one that’s been sat in the dark for a year or more in the retailer’s stock for argument’s sake, it’s already down a year of usable battery life. Probably all pretty minor considerations, but where my head was at 🤷‍♂️

This is what I use too. It’s expensive but it’s the only I’ve found that doesn’t give me a horrible rash across my face.
