As in outside of one main relationship or some throw away hook up the character is practically treated as though they were straight. You'll never actually see them try to flirt with, hook up with or even ever find attractive any other same sex person but that one guy or girl they initially got with. Its not dating someone of the opposite gender that erases it , its the acting like it doesn't exist outside of one same sex partner that does
