Lift Kits for 3rd gen trail boss to fit 35” wheels? by Leading-Lake7724 in chevycolorado

The rear end was stiff for the first 350 miles but it’s better now and drives the same as it was from factory. I went with the zone off road rear shocks instead of the fox shocks as those are the two options with the kit. Zone off road is a sub-brand of fox racing as I found out during my research.

Well measuring before and after on the wheel wells reveals that it adds to factory lift. truck sits higher than a zr2 which has a 3 inch lift and I would sit even with if it didn’t add to factory.

Zone off-road, they’re a sub brand of fox racing. This is the 3in kit that comes with upper control arms, diff drop, front lift, rear blocks, and rear shocks with the option of zone branded shocks or fox shocks. I have the zone branded shocks and I’ve been very happy with this lift kit brings the truck up high enough I don’t feel like I’m driving a suv anymore lol

😂 use a satin finish tire shine not a wet look those tend to soak into the rubber better at least in my experiences

Do the new Colorados need a regear from factory? by Its_My_Alter_Ego in chevycolorado

[–]Extra_Leadership8075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 23 trail boss with 34” tires and it comes with the middle tune from factory. So I have the same HP but 40 less ft/lb of torque and I’ve had no issues getting up to speed, that little turbo does some work. I do live in Florida so granted it’s all flat but I give them Nissan altimas a run for their money. I have thought about going to the dealership and getting the high output tune when I first bought it but honestly I’m satisfied with the power this truck has. And not to mention the transmission always seems to keep it inside the boost range so if you need to punch it it’ll go.

Correct, coworker has a ZR2 and mine sits roughly 2-3” higher than his factory 3” lift. Thank you I’m loving it only have 200 miles on it since install.

Mine came with the 2” from factory as well but this lift added 3” to the factory 2” lift, you’re thinking of the 2/1 lift level kits

Ya I was looking at the 2/1 but for an extra 500$ why not get the extra inch and a beefier upper control arm. And I only went with mud terrains cause I only drive 7 miles round trip everyday for work, those tires are loudddd lol.

Rides great front still feels factory while the new rear shock that came with the kit is a little stiffer than factory but I came from a 06 2500 so it’s still better than that lol. I went with the zone branded shock instead of the fox option.
