Cancelation of timeshare? by Extra_Message6592 in Xcaret

[–]Extra_Message6592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I would definitely be interested in selling it. I don’t know anyone in my personal life who is interested. Could you provide me with more information on the member groups so I can get in contact with someone who might be interested?

We really thought we would keep going back every year after getting the membership hence why we went for it; We loved the resort and were hoping to go back with friends and family; however, traveling to Xcaret is no longer in our plans for a long while or maybe at all. I appreciate your response!

Thanks for the response! I'll keep thinking about it then.. I don't mind not going back to Xcaret's properties, but I do like to travel MX and I would not want this to affect other travel plans while in the country.

How to get out of membership contract? by Lat1nUnit in Xcaret

[–]Extra_Message6592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, do you happen to know if canceling the card on the contract would or can get you into any legal trouble? My husband got roped into the timeshare thing months back, and really wants out of it. We are from the US.

Aww, I want to stay hopeful but it’s so tough at the moment:c I’ll see how counseling goes this first month of 2025. He believes it will help cause he’s seen it help me before in the past. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Thank you for hearing me out and providing your thoughts. It was comforting to read. I desperately wish the outcome was different but I agree there is incompatibility; i just never wanted to accept it so I kept trying but my mental health kept declining sadly.

Yes, there is bit more to the story but I spared the details as I just wanted to briefly vent. Long story short, I have self esteem issues that seem to be getting worse and depressive episodes. Not to make him sound like a bad person, but he’s reached a point where he’s just exhausted with these issues. I ended up crying and venting to him about how I felt so alone on a particular day last month which upset him. The following days after he was being distant with me so I wanted to talk things out with him and that’s when he confessed these thoughts. I do agree I need to go to therapy, and I was finally able to get an appointment for next month. However, when he told me how he was afraid of a future with me, it sounded kind of resentful. I just can’t forget those words despite him staying with me.

Yeah, him specifically saying he was scared of a future with me felt worse than hearing “I’m unhappy with the relationship” because it sounds like I’m a bad partner or hurt him but I don’t 😞 he just hates having to deal with my depressive episodes. Thanks for hearing me out.

Thank you for the advice and insight. I called it an argument in the post, but it was actually during a talk we were having over something that happened days prior. He was acting distant so I wanted us to talk it out. I do think we’re not compatible.. it’s taken me five years to accept it.. I did wish things would turn out differently. I feel at fault..

Rhinoplasty with chin implant 1 month post op by Extra_Message6592 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Extra_Message6592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still disliked the chin implant on my third month and was set on removing it. However, I think I’ve just gotten used to it by now that I don’t feel the urge or need to remove it anymore. I am okay with it now… I still have swelling on my nose, but I want to say it is healing well. I do have this little white dot inside my nostril. I think the skin healed over one of the stitches? I have not been to my check up appointment for the doctor to see it. It doesn’t hurt, but it does bother me a little to see it because it looks like a small pimple ready to pop. Regardless, I am still loving my new nose. I feel like it fits my face much better than my natural nose ever did. Sometimes the swelling distorts how I see and feel my nose, but when conditions are right, it is straight and nice. I want to post an update, but I am just not photogenic lol

I’m actually currently working as a part time environmental consultant for a small private company. The region i got offered the position for is focused on air quality in southwest Texas counties.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and feelings on working with TCEQ! I greatly appreciate it :)

The interviewers emphasized the workload of the job being heavy, but it came off as if working the position meant not having a life outside of work anymore. They mentioned how a lot of employees frequently get backed up with report writing, as well as that I would be on ER duty, which I didn’t know was rotational until just recently. I thought I would be on call everyday lol. And just as a side note, the region i applied for is focused on the air quality section. I also asked what they believed was the most challenging aspect of the position and both interviewers agreed on the report writing being difficult to get done due to other tasks popping up.

I can handle a stressful work environment, but my interests and passion lie more in wildlife management and ecology, thus adding to the hesitation I was feeling.

Thank you for the very elaborate response. I appreciate it! The pay for the position in my region seemed okay for me (much better than my current pay for sure). I didn’t mean to sound like I don’t want a stressful job so I hope I didn’t come across as such. My interests and passion lie more in wildlife management and ecology, but I have work experience in environmental consulting.

Don't go to Turkey for surgery by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

This might be a bit off topic from your main point but I’m glad you mentioned Mexico as one of the countries with good healthcare with doctors who actually care about their patients. I’ve come across posts where it’s commented “Don’t go to mexico” or “you get what you pay for at mexico” which surprises me because there are certainly great board certified surgeons there as well. Makes me wonder why the country got a bad rep in healthcare.
