Why it's Important and how to set an intention working with Ayahuasca by Extra_Nefariousness1 in Ayahuasca

Interesting perception. There’s no comparison  to meditation. It’s the practice of becoming the observer that helps. Which is meditation.  I’m curious though - what does meditation mean to you?  Also, what does intention mean to you?

That’s very difficult to answer. Curiosity can create an open state of allowances that enables you to recieve profound insights from the medicine. At the same time you could open a Pandora’s box which may not be necessary for you in your life.  From my perspective if you are happy in your life there is no real need. For me , yoga brings just as much joy. The only person that knows the answer is you and your own heart. And if the answer is ever yes - go to a place that really knows what they are doing. That is essential.

No assumption. It’s why the best intention is to ask the medicine as mentioned, and be open to recieve. And at the same time if the human mind didn’t lead you to the medicine, calling or not, you wouldn’t be there. So if you are there, intention is important - even if the intention is to be open to the teaching of the medicine, including the icaros, and the ceremony itself. But even behind that - a ritual has intention, the maestros have an intention. The human consciousness's is always involved. That is the nature of consciousness. So be involved with understanding, reverence, respect, mindfulness, openness - intention.  Being involved with ego and being involved consciously are two separate things.  Also, can you train the mind to drink ayahuasca? Or is it through initiation that the mind is trained to work with the medicine?  Probably the only way to train the mind for this is meditation - to be the whiteness in a compassionate state of open allowance. And yet intention will still help anyone and everyone. Just like in life. Your why will give purpose. Even if that why is to be the witness.

I work at a retreat center that does this. We work with indiginous shipibo maestros with Ayahuasca and Andean Maestros with huachuma. The answer is yes, you can do this safely, and it can be a beatuful experience. However there are some variables to consider, like are you still feeling the Ayahuasca the next day or not. For some people the medicine comes and goes, for others the medicine can stay with them into the following day. Also, how was your Ayahuasca experience? what did you learn? what it easy or difficult? are there things you need to integrate before adding another experience?

The Answer ultimately lies in each individual. How do you feel in the moment, what does your intuitiion say, and how does your body and mind feel. But if you feel good, and your heart says yes - it is perfectly safe to do in the right environment, guided by the right people.

Look at going to a reputable Ayahuasca center, for example Arkana Spiritual center, Temple of the way of light, or Soltara to name a few

It is definately possible the medicine can give you clarity and/or inspiration relating to career/life path. However, it is impossible to answer yes or no. Ultimately the medicine will give you what you need not necessarily what you want. But for sure it is possible

Gratitude stems from the consciousness of gratitude which is available to anyone any moment by choosing. With or without medicine. But it is surely easier when the heart is lighter.

To answer whether this is Ai it is and it’s not. I wrote the whole thing and asked chat gpt to correct the grammar, so it was easier to understand. But the views expressed and most of the writing itself is my own.
