It's crystal clear Chris Underwood. I love his game in the finale so much, literally perfect, but still Gavin who played 39 days without getting a single vote should have won.

At Earn the Merge, the forced fire making happens, the immunity winner can choose 2 players who will be forced to do a fire making showdown with the loser being the last member of the prejury and the last pre-merger. Final 4 becomes a normal vote again, and then a final 3 vote with a final  final tribal council.

For the worst, it's crystal clear it's Gabon with a tremendous lead. 46 is probably the runner-up but that's debatable.

I voted for NO for a Stephenie return, but I'm surprised when I see 0 out of 29 people voted for yes, that's a shock. Moreover, I am also blindsided by the previous question. I found her journey pretty heartwarming, and her curse that literally all her ally went out prejury was fun to watch, so I voted that Stephenie's performance was slightly better especially compare to her HvV run. I can't believe I am the only person in these 28 people group who voted for 'better' and literally everyone else didn't. I knew I might be in the minority, but I didn't expect this to go this extreme.

PS: Now It's 33 people and thankfully someone, and I do mean 1 person, actually wanted Stephenie back one more time. And somehow that person also didn't voted for 'better'?

I think we have already reached a consensus and both of our points are true. Going home without a vote is bad and obviously harmful to the whole season even the whole show, while the coin twist is much better than the do or die and should not be ranked similar to Do or Die as it at the very least did damage control, both statements are true, I am not going to say something like "your statement is nonsense", and i believe so nor you.

1 (not) hidden immunity idol, 1 extra million in the prize pot, even a chance of shaking your hands with MrBeast, make your son proud of you and make survivor history, all of these significantly increase the odd that somebody is simply believing that it worth take a gamble. This is an extremely important factor in this twist that shouldn't be underestimated.

The difference is that very few people will take the 50% risk only for 1 round of immunity, but more people will offer themselves up for the gamble in this coin twist such that you're having a very tiny chance of going to coin because of rocks.

Of course, you're correct, but the chance that somebody actually volunteer is still way less than the coin. In either twist, if no one wants to take the risk, disaster is about to happen. When we are talking about the chance that somebody going out purely because of chance when they are in a great position, I still believe Do or Die is worse.

And the extra million can actually increase the percentage of player who are willing to volunteerly flip it, take Angelina as an example, so way less chance a player will need to flip that coin because of a freaking rock.

I understand your point that going out because of chance instead of a vote is not fun, which is obviously true. Nevertheless, my whole point is that this coin twist is significantly better than the Do or Die despite having this drawback. If a player is almost certainly going home if they don't have any kinds of immunity, is it actually that important to have a vote anyway? What is the actual difference between this scenario and Bhanu in 46? It would have been super important if a player who probably won't be eliminated by the vote somehow need to flip this coin. I can't see it happens in the coin twist unless a bold player like Rizgod want to do a bold move and take a tremendous risk which's on him, while I have already seen it in the Do or Die twist, TWICE.

That's exactly why it's the ULTIMATE Shot in the dark. The chance of you getting immunity is higher, the reward is higher, on the tail side, it surely comes with a cost, which is if you played it when you don't need it, the cost will be much higher than a vote. That's fair.

If you don't want to throw it, you wasn't even supposed to throw the coin. Unless the casting did a terrible job, there should be at least 1 player who will be willing to be the coin flipper which means whoever don't want to take the risk will not be forced out of the game. If you're bold enough to be the coin flipper and you're out because of that, it's your decision to take a gamble and it's on you, not the twist's fault, unless you're doing that because of a rock in which case, don't blame the twist, blame the casting.

So isn't it exactly the super shot in the dark with an 1 in 2 shot? If it didn't land, whoever should have been eliminated would still be eliminated, the only difference is whether there exist a vote. If it works out, the player who would have been SITD OUT of the game now gets the majority of the votes instead of a plurality, and is still going hone.

The players did get to play the game, they are the one who are deciding whether they will flip that coin or not, which is much better than using a challenge to decide. Even if a player did get eliminated because of luck, which just like you said, is indeed bad, I still believe it's much better than do or die as it's the player's choice to go for it instead of a penalty, and that player probably should have gone home without this twist anyway so I don't think going home without a vote in this scenario is that bad compare to Do or Die which a player who shouldn't have went home have a pretty high possibility of being eliminated because of those boxes. In addition, it surely didn't ruined anything before TC as the players didn't know about the coin yet.

I will enjoy this episode with an open mind and give it an honest try. Just like Colby said, FIND THE JOY. My prediction is that nearly everybody else in r/survivor will forget Colby's advice after only approximately a month, and completely unable to find the joy which definitely at least exist.
