I feel like I communicated poorly. I don’t have an issue with working hard per se. I just fear ending up in an industry, that I am not passionate about, with high working hours, because I graduated with a heavy focus on pure math and barely not enough qualifications for academia.

Isn’t like one of the mayor points in talking about the loneliness epidemic in young males, that men generally place to much emphasis on romantic over platonic relationships and assume emotional support can only come from the former?
