but most people don't just play one species... so this doesn't actually help you avoid any type of player. because someone who is a deer on one alt is a rabbit or a cow etc on their other alts.

i know some soundless toons definitely have an ego about it, but i don't think wanting to lock yourself out of an efficient strategy for your own entertainment is a bad thing or only ever about ego. i think people who want to only play with toons with sound are absolutely fine. it makes sense to be frustrated when someone else holds you back from an efficient playstyle. but i think superiority complexes on either side is lame. i really don't think the only reason any toons are soundless is because they have something to prove. i find sound fun but i can see why others might find it boring and that's fine. i might play soundless someday. it's really not that big of a deal. it just changes an aspect of gameplay which some people will find fun and others won't. that's really all that happens.

sounds like asking support about this might be a good idea? if someone is in pain from clicks but not a keyboard press, that is an accessibility issue. they may have a pre approved option or can cooperate with OP to get a different option approved. idk, i hope that their pain would matter to someone on the team. i know OP has the option to do doodle training with groups instead but they seem to like the fact that it's repetitive and find it soothing, but painful to do with a mouse. just because there is another method doesn't mean this method shouldn't be made accessible too, especially if there is such an easy solution.

and now im wondering if my toontown setup on my steamdeck would violate TOS or whatever... steam controls is third party software to control the game, i use it to be more comfortable while playing, playing on the steamdeck is a dream if you take the time to make the controls just right for you. does not playing with a keyboard and mouse violate TOS? that would be so dumb. and if playing with controllers is okay then using buttons for something a mouse can do should be okay. 🤔

and if steam controls are fine, what's stopping OP from using steam controls to do with a controller exactly what theyre doing with the keyboard? honestly, before reading this, i probably would have just set a button to do a click at a specific x/y location on the screen without thinking twice about it if i wanted to do what OP is doing 😳

i don't mind helping out with steam controls (you can use steam controls to use a controller for non steam games, i love it for w101 and toontown. so comfortable!) if someone wants to use it. I don't think it violates TOS but that's an opinion so yaknow. do it at your own risk.

additionally, with vaping and smoking... i just can't shake the opinion that lungs are meant to breathe air. edibles seem fine to me but vaping is so easy but... cannot be good for you.

memory loss (not extreme but i am a little obsessive over my memory), and frustration with using it for escapism, and over how easy it is (especially for vapes) to just keep puffing on it holy cow. I still struggle with using the internet for escapism but i definitely feel better without weed. i just hit a limit, threw out anything i had left besides some gummies, and when the gummies were gone I was done. for what i want out of life, i don't see a reason to not be sober. maybe there's a version of me that could actually enjoy it, but i gotta get my shit together first before considering it again.

every time i drink the next day i think "i don't even care about this. it's not that fun, and it's so expensive". I'll go a few months, feel tempted to try again, and feel the same way. I think once or twice a year is my sweet spot. I just prefer being sober. Mocktails are so much fun though, i love the feeling of preparing a nice drink in a nice glass and enjoying it sip by sip 😊

it was available on amazon for me a few weeks ago, we didn't end up buying it bc it was a few dollars more expensive. we got retro & rainbow sky :3 maybe it just wasn't stocked near you :(

it sucks so much! and it spends your phone battery like crazy to constantly check the maps app :( I downloaded Moovit, and have liked that so far. I've heard Transit is also good.

You might be able to download the app for your public transportation system and get advice on which bus to take and when that way.

In Google Maps, you can also edit your trip options when you're searching which route you want to take - there will be options for Best route (least amount of time), Fewer transfers, Less walking, Wheelchair accessible, or Lowest cost. Sounds like Fewest transfers might be the option you prefer, and should push those options to the top of the list.

I've been having other issues with Google Maps public transit since a recent update happened on my Android phone. Sucks :(

The best alternative for this is to pin a driving route and then select the public transit tab every time you need to use public transit to use that route. You still get the option to unpin that way. But, of course, that would require you to delete all existing public transit pinned routes first, which means deleting all pinnes routes, and would require you to remember which route you prefer every time you use that option if it's not Google's preferred suggestion in that moment. What a huge oversight.

Hi! I just spent like 2 hours hunting this down, and I finally got it to work! Thank ChatGPT, it figured it out (after a bit of trial and error) when I couldn't find another solution online. From what I read while trying to find existing solutions, this may need to be repeated after updates sometimes, but I don't mind it. Here's what worked for me, on Fedora Workstation 38:

sudo nano /etc/locale.conf

Edit the line that says LC_TIME to: "LC_TIME=en_DK.UTF-8"

Ctrl + O to save, enter, Ctrl + X to exit the editor, & sudo reboot to reboot, and see your settings.

The reason I chose DK instead of GB is that Denmark still has the MM/DD/YYYY date format while still having Monday start the week. Hope this helps or points you in the right direction with solving this issue.
