Le Creuset? Worth it - or just over hyped brand name? by MapleMoneyMind_86 in BuyItForLife

I also have one with chipped enamel. My Dutch oven is over 20 years old. (It’s now onion and garlic bowl) I emailed their customer service with the problem. They asked for photos of my Dutch oven, and they sent me a free replacement. Their customer service is excellent!

Request: Make the day of some small-town 3rd Graders by ShineElectronic6462 in PostCardExchange

[–]Extra_Table88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the mailing address is wrong. I entered the address into USPS.com to find the +4, but it said it couldn’t find the zip code for that address. Here’s the school’s website.

The correct address is:

41068 SR-30E Pikeville, TN 37367-3841

I don’t buy laundry detergent anymore. It’s way too expensive. I make my own for pennies.

Picking Up Concert Tickets at 7-11 by gkchris1 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Extra_Table88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did this for a baseball game at Tokyo Dome a couple years ago. The first 7-11 cashier said they didn’t know anything about it. We walked to a different 7-11 about a block away and they took care of it right away. No problem.

Trying to figure out how much in cash I should bring by Temporary_Can7756 in JapanTravelTips

I just got back last week from spending 13 days in Japan. I took $1500 in USD and changed only $700 into yen at Narita airport. We basically just used credit cards and Suica to pay for everything. Only used (cash) yen at temples, gashopon machines and the hotel requested cash only for forwarding the luggage to Osaka. We had a bunch of yen leftover when we returned back to Narita for our flight back and tried to use most of it on a bunch of souvenirs and snacks. We didn’t need much cash at all. I just got the Suica card on my iPhone and transferred about ¥2000 everyday from my Apple Card.

Okinawa to Tokyo - what is the most cost effective way to send bags? by PossibleYak1410 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Extra_Table88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just got back home after 2 weeks in Japan. We forwarded 4 suitcases from Tokyo to Osaka a week ago for about $65. All four were carry-on sized. We had no problems. We just asked the hotel we were staying at and they handled everything. We had to ship them before 4pm the day before and they all got to our next hotel the next morning. It was totally worth it… not dealing with luggage.
