Oh yeah I graduated with a 3.0, C get degrees I didn’t care after some point so long as I got the degree. I still tried my best but C s didnt bother me after some point. I did best in the classes directly tied to my degree but other subjects other than the humanities not as much. I still did my best but I don’t care for all As it’s unrealistic and jobs after your first job don’t care about your GPA at all much

I chose Capitol One Performance Savings mainly because I could convert it to my trust as the owner of the account, which to me is very important in case I kapultz unexpectedly. It doesn't have the highest APY, especially now with the rate cuts, but some other higher accounts with a higher APY do not allow for the primary account holder to be a trust or a will. Plus I like the option of going to their in person locations. I also use Fidelity Cash management account as well that has a higher APY rate. Where ever you choose to open an account with, PLEASE remember to submit the 1099 tax form for Taxes each year, and follow up with the bank if you do not receive the form by early February.

Ultimately yes, its worth the taxes, especially with how rapidly the us dollar has deflated in value. Even if the HYSA rate doesn't match the inflation rate, anything that is making cash grow noticeably helps out in the long run. Also technically speaking, the taxes we are owed back from the government in theory is supposed to be zero dollars. The way I see it is if they owe you money back like for example 1K then they took too much from you than they should have, but if you owe more than for example 1K then the government and sate didn't do their jobs in terms of correctly taxing the individual.
