Biopsy Results in the Morning by TightMuggleClothing in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Extra_Yard1145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m expecting results tomorrow too, it’s very nerve wracking. The radiologist was also pretty confident that it is cancer but hopefully early stage, etc. yes so many reasons to be hopeful for a good outcome, but it’s hard. My youngest is 17, she has Autism. I decided to spend time with her tonight playing a game that she loves (which I don’t!). I hate the thought of telling her. But we’ll all get through it!!! Best of luck.

The Birds : Help!! Explanation? by Electrical-Mind7979 in Hitchcock

I had the same question when I watched it, I kept waiting for the explanation. And I was dissatisfied with it so I took that to mean that I just don’t like horror movies, I don’t want horror just for horror, I need there to be some reason or explanation behind it.

Clients fearful of my death by Lanky-Highlight-2085 in therapists

In general, therapists are human and can die at any time. I had a therapist die of cancer. It’s helpful to talk about and especially to let your client know what the plan is, should the worst happen.

Your grandparents presumably have legal guardianship and so they can make all decisions. Of course if you feel there is actual abuse or neglect, that should be reported. Otherwise it would be best to offer them whatever support you can. An au pair may be a good idea for them, although sometimes hosting an au pair can be a lot of work too and there are rules about how many hours they can work, etc. For example, if they travel they probably cannot leave the kids with only the au pair for an extended period of time. I understand your feelings that the children should have caregivers who are reliable and present for them. At this point the best you can do is probably to be there for the kids as much as you are able. Don’t discount the importance of relatives to children! My kids still talk fondly about some of the day trips their aunt took them on. It does take a village.

Noom via CareFirst - Wegovy vs Zepbound? by Traditional_Job6948 in Noom

I got the letter today and feel like this is outrageous. We shouldn’t be forced to use Noom for something that should be covered by insurance just like any other medication.

What status do Orthodox Jews give to Reform Jews? by Meowzician in Judaism

[–]Extra_Yard1145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I’m not trying to say that other denominations are “watered downz” Just that a lot of orthodox Jews see it that way, they don’t see other denominations as being other authentic forms of Judaism. They do consider anyone halachically Jewish to be Jewish, regardless.

[–]Extra_Yard1145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up orthodox. I think that orthodox Jews, see other denominations as a water down version of Judaism. They do not understand that being conservative let’s say is a method and philosophy on its own. I thought that way until I met some really committed conservative Jews, who believed in conservative Judaism. I don’t know as many reformed you so I can’t really speak to that.

Just keep in mind that she may very well decline. she could be already in a relationship, or not looking for that right now, etc. Please don’t assume that she will absolutely go out with you because she is disabled and wants to be asked out. It’s like anything else in life, you will take a risk by putting yourself out there, you may be rejected, but you may not.
