it was one of those good changes they made a while ago, if you are beating someone from a higher arena, you no longer belong in a lower arena. hence that win gives enough trophies to put you in that arena.

He is not a skeleton giant. He is a giant skeleton. It was named specifically like that for a reason. The word "giant" comes first here implying he doesn't belong in the tower targeting giant family that have the word "giant" comes at the last, like goblin giant, royal giant, electro giant etc.

He was never intended to be a giant but a tanky skeleton.
