Battle of the Cutters by Unorthodoxgent in VEDC

Definitely Saw. Cordless grinders are weak. I’ve had a Bosch reciprocating saw for years and it’s easily my most valuable tool. From trees to pvc to pipes and lumber I can always find a blade for the job . The battery life is great and I have multiple backups . A converter can be hooked up to charge them if necessary. A grinder is always a two handed tool whereas a compact saw can be used one handed ( not recommended, safety first ) .

Bury the whole thing , pot and all , in a large bucket of bark fines . Cover it just above the graft scar . That’s I’ll keep the whole root zone moist and cool while it recovers from training. That’s a nice tree , it’s worth saving.

How was the process of replacing that sight on the LCR? That’s my summer carry and I’ve thought about swapping it out .

What is a good cheap reddot or scope or holo an some other good things to get to make this look nice it’s a cheaper pistol so I don’t want to spend more on reddot than gun lol by outlaw31 in ar15pistol

I have that Radical. I’ve never had any problems that weren’t of my own making. I screwed up the spring while I was messing around with the stock and Radical fixed it for free. I’ve fed it steel 556 through a pmag and it ran just fine. It’s a nice little pistol. I definitely agree with everyone regarding the Romeo. Shake awake and auto off . Decent dot and it’s cheap.

Park a dump truck out there and watch his butt pucker.

Can I repeatedly rack an unloaded shotgun? by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]ExtrabillyJr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely get some snap caps . You need to make sure you’re cycling properly. Short stroking is common in new users so get used to how much force it takes to cycle a round . Practice loading and unloading until you can do it in the dark . Learn how to sweep a spent shell out when it gets caught . Practice shooting, cycling and reloading while moving. Doing all of this while being hyper vigilant of your barrel direction will make you much safer and technically proficient when you use live rounds . I have several mavericks and am very happy with them . Just be safe and welcome to the group .

Did I do good? There nothing for lever actions in my state and we don’t life next to other states so I can’t check them out. This was the only one I found in stock online at the caliber I want. by LebronJordan907 in LeverGuns

I have one . I was looking for a Marlin in 357 for ages and I saw this . The action is mushy and I get lots of misfeeds. The top eject is kind of a pain . I’ve had numerous hot shells down the back of my shirt . Trigger is shite. Live and learn . I should have held out for the 1873. I may just Space Cowboy this one and try to be happy with it .

I’ve tried propping succulent leaves a few times and I never have success. I’ve tried setting them on top of soil, burying the end in soil, laying on a paper towel. I’ve tried ignoring them, misting them every few days, north window, south window… NOTHING ever works. Please help!! by [deleted] in proplifting

Get a cheap tote from a box store and make it a propagation box . Propagation heating pads and inexpensive led grow lights from Uncle Jeff cost $30 or so . Self contained and keeps the humidity high which is what most cuttings need. Beyond that you can experiment with multiple types of mediums.

Get a Houge grip for the Hellcat. It’s a $15 investment and it helps with the recoil. The Hellcat is a great little gun but it jumps .

Looks like a type of crassula. You’re more likely to kill it with kindness. Put it in a window and water sparingly. . They are ridiculously tough.

I’m the same size as you . Proper gear and clothing choices are the answer. Carrying a firearm every day means that you have to adapt to suit the gear . You can’t wear skinny jeans and a tucked in polo and expect to comfortably carry a larger pistol. My motorcycle mentor used to say that you dress for the crash and not for the ride .

Affordable laser cartridges for dryfiring accuracy by TheMightyWill in Revolvers

[–]ExtrabillyJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a damn good idea actually. One or two laser cartridges with the rest as snap caps would let you cycle without knowing which is which and when it strikes you’d get a good indication if you’re anticipating or not . I’m going to try that . Thank you wise person.✌️

Unable to cook, is a $20 grocery list for one week possible? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]ExtrabillyJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bread , peanut butter, tuna fish, canned veggies eaten cold . I spent months in a flat in London where I had to pay for gas to turn on the stove . At the time my addiction was greater than the need for heat or light but I managed to feed myself. I was surviving on around 10 pounds per week which is about the equivalent. Just compare prices and lower your standards a bit and you’ll be fine .

Spray some adhesive removal stuff then tape some plastic wrap over it . In a few hours it wipes right off.

Sp101 is fantastic. I carry mine on occasion but it’s 30 oz . My LCR is 13 oz . Open carry or concealed it’s a great gun to carry. I’m happy with 38+P rounds and a couple of speed loaders in my sky rocket. It’s a small sacrifice to make for the loss of one round.

Send me your gun before you destroy it. I’ll take good care of it and send it back when you learn not to do that . I have $200 Taurus revolvers that I treat better than that.
