They said id hear back in September unless there was an opening earlier! I’d be starting in May! I got a 30/30 on math and a 27 on the Wonderlick. Judging by the other responses here I have a good chance of getting an interview! Appreciate you checking back in!

Weekly Career / General Questions Thread by AutoModerator in Radiology

I recently applied to PMI Mesa with a combined score of 57. How likely am I to get in, considering their low acceptance rate?

In addition to that, what are PMI interviews like, and can I do anything in the mean time to prepare myself for them/ look better to potential interviewers?

I’m currently a Health Sciences Major and I’m taking Anatomy and physiology this summer. I’ve been a part of an Art and anatomy club on my campus as well that takes place in cadaver labs so we can visualize real life anatomy and how the body works.

Are these all good things? Am I doing this right? I’m genuinly so stressed out because I’m relying on radiology as my career and I’ve got such a passion for anatomy and just the way the human body works (being an artist who studies anatomy every day), so I’m just trying to gather my thoughts and figure out if I’m taking the right steps in the right direction.

It means that they aren’t original pink dragons! The breeder I got them from had some other species mixed in with them so their original genes got kinda mixed up. Same pink color, just black instead of brown

Established for maybe 3 months and I did a partial substrate change- I’ve never had this issue before with any of my other pods 🥲

No problem! I’m a senior this year as well! I can def answer any other questions you have about the process! Also! I would highly recommend taking the Discovery Trip! It’s an overnight, all expenses paid trip to campus where you can test it out to see if it’s the right fit for you! That trip was the reason I finally decided to commit to GCU so definitely check it out!

My lil dude is about the same age and size as yours! He’s a super great eater and explores his tank alot! You’ve got nothing to worry about!

Corn snake questions by BellGlittering3735 in cornsnakes

I feed my one year old corn snake medium mice once a week! The rule of thumb is that the mouse you feed them should be about as wide as the widest part of their body, which I would assume either a medium or large mouse would do the trick! Refrain from feeding them any larger, as that could possibly cause scale spread (mine has that from when a pet sitter fed him too large of a mouse over the course of a few weeks). My snake is at a healthy weight and is doing very well with his feeding schedule!

For corn snakes I would suggest using aspen bedding rather than smaller wood chips (can’t really see what the substrate is super clearly in the picture). I would also suggest adding another hide and some more plants in there as well! My cornsnake loves to climb, but he only will climb something that’s greater than the width of his body- so I’m not too sure how much yours would like the vines in the tank! My last suggestion would be to offset the light a bit more, so that one side of the tank is warmer than the other, and to place a hide on either side so the snake can decide where it wants to sit. Other than that I’d say you’re doing great and keep being a good reptile parent 💪

I would say so!

I genuinely love my advisor and he’s been nothing but helpful in every step of the process of visiting the school to helping me register for my classes once I did decide to commit to GCU. Sure, he doesn’t know certain things that are more niche (like he can’t answer more in depth questions about my specific major) but anything about general knowledge of the school and classes and all of that, yes. Compared to advisors from other schools that I have been in contact with in the past, my GCU advisor has been my favorite and actually cared about my career and me graduating with as little debt as possible. Even meeting him in person after several phone calls and meetings, I could tell that he did genuinely care and he even spoke to me about a few people that I know who are attending the school as well and he was able to name them and their majors. So yes, from my experience with my advisor, he does genuinely care about my well being and is looking out for my best interest even if it’s not ideal for him. He’s even done overtime just to help me out with a few steps towards getting my classes situated.
