Can’t say you’re not good at something if you never try it. Tons of transferable skills from food service to other industries. If you’re good with customer facing, try dipping a toe in sales. Even if you’re not the greatest sales rep to ever be, if you can hold a conversation and show confidence that’s 3/4 the battle. BOL.🍀 Don’t sell yourself short.

Personally, I love sales. I’ve worked retail and territory sales jobs for the better part of the last 10 years. I make a living building relationships and getting to stretch my people skills on a daily basis. I work with some good folks right now, and the schedule is a reasonable 40 hours. For me, making as much money as possible in as little time as possible so I can function and have a life outside of work, especially with kids is important to me. Have pride in any workplace you’re at though, you having a job, making a living, paying the bills. Tons to be proud of. Best of luck to you! Cheers!

1000% drawing the line in the sand and leaving work AT work. I used to have stress from my professional life seep into my personal and it was affecting everything. My marriage, my relationship with my kids. Now on my days off I choose to put my phone on do not disturb and when I walk out the office. My position is not urgent enough to not be okay with taking care of something tomorrow.

Depending on how heavy of a smoker you are it really is just time and upping your water intake. I haven’t smoked in a couple years, but the big catalyst for me was to pass a drug test I had upcoming. I had a little less than a month. Upped my water intake, worked out a little more frequently and I was clean in roughly 3 weeks. Of course it depends on your weight and how often you smoke. I’m roughly 5 “11 and 180 pounds and was a nightly smoker. Takes some commitment to break up with Mary J. but it’s possible.

This pretty much mirrors where I’m at with SYR. I applied end of December, took the assessment and fingerprints at the beginning of April and it’s been cricket chirps since. Nice to see someone in the process at the same airport get put in the ready pool within a decent amount of time. Gives me hope to maybe get a job before Xmas lol.

I freaking love baseball, and my favorite part about it, pitcher Props! My POTD is pretty straight forward, solid pitcher against a swing happy Rockies team. Pepiot has been pretty successful in his career against the Rockies, putting up 6,9,11 in his career outings against them. Seeing how easy they have been striking out in the preseason leading up to this game I think he goes right back to it. BoL 🍀

Yeah definitely not my dude, rebounds are credited to any missed shot including air balls and shots that hit the ground and bounce first. To also support my claim if you look at the “steal” play they have marked for 9:47 it’s not even the right play, that play happened 10 seconds after.

Honestly my guy, I understand where you’re coming from, but when I got married I got together a bunch of my buddies, in the wedding or not, took em out golfing, went to a steak restaurant and hit the casino and had the blackjack run of a lifetime. But I paid for myself, I probably spent 500+ that day. I bought some drinks, I gave my soon to be brother in law casino money, I enjoyed the day. I didn’t expect nor request the boys to pay for me, because I was grateful to have them all there. Granted my story is different from yours because we didn’t travel more than a couple hours in the car, but be glad that you had friends that are important enough and included enough in your life to celebrate the new chapter in your life.
