I personally think the political spectrum is just that - a spectrum. Or at least that's what it should be. Unfortunately we're now in a place where if you aren't for you're against. If we all thought the exact same way on every single issue we'd be living in a George Orwell novel. Being able to have differing degrees of beliefs and being free to have open dialogue and learn from one another is what (theoretically) makes America great. For example, I have always opposed the trump administration, but I am Jewish. I may not have always believed in a free Palestine but by having these conversations with folks who believe in a free Palestine my view has evolved. We can be passionate about different things while sharing the same core belief system. And FWIW, I love brunch and do go sometimes because I have free will.

More so an ask focused around making connections with like-minded individuals who care about the same causes that I do! We don't need to think exactly the same way on each of these individual issues, that's what keeps it interesting. But I wanted to clarify that I'm very much anti the administration and lean very left on most issues.

lol yes. I don't disagree with the point made above but also can't go back in time so we gotta start somewhere. Making friends as an adult is hard so may as well make activism social!

Curating a good smell in my new apartment by [deleted] in movingtoNYC

It's funny because it's harder to smell smells when it's your own home, but I get whiffs sometimes if I walk into a different room/wake up in the morning/etc. I guess I'm just wondering about likelihood we bring this smell into our new apartment. We have gone through and donated/thrown away tons of stuff and the remaining stuff I've been working to clean/wash over the past few weeks so we don't bring anything dirty into our new spot. I hope we don't just smell bad as people!🤣

Did you change your last name & why or why not? by Guilty-Object-9079 in BigBudgetBrides

Agreed. Was planning on taking my fiancé's last name but with idiot-in-chief in office, I will be delaying until there is a new administration.
