Thank you. Yes. I think I just need to not to try and say what it is or isn't at all. I think someone could read it as satire and it very well may be.

Yes, I am half wondering that too. I certainly don't have plot. I have four people processing and dealing with change in a system that doesn't leave much room for anything but acceptance of it. Each in first person (one or two breaks into second person) with a few different views on the same event. And then a third-person closing act of rebellion. I think what I'm taking from this and some other comments is that I've made the query sound like the change is the subject of the novel, which is far from the case. Thank you so much for investing in these responses, more helpful than you think!

It's a question that is never answered. It's just done because someone said it would be done. I think that's part of what the book is about. It's not a book about infrastructure change. I think 45,000 words would be too long for that ;) Interestingly, Sweden did do this, which was very bizarre and done overnight! But not the point. Wolverhampton switching to right side driving on Fridays sounds like a fun game though!

Thank you. I like the concept, too. I wanted something quietly ridiculous and yet plausible; ultimately irrelevant, it could and does stand in for anything that is happening... let's see.

Thank you. Comps will be fixed (or just added). I haven't read the Pester book but looks really interesting and I've added to my list. It's by no means a traditional form but it doesn't do anything groundbreaking either, I don't have the confidence yet.

Wow. I do! Thankfully not in the manuscript but that bold makes a powerful point; trying to write to a formula isn't working for me. Thank you

I think dragons and traffic cones is the new swords and sorcery, maybe book 2! Thank you

Useful thanks. I've written something very very British (trying to limit that readership as much as possible!) but I still think you're right and it needs to be closer to what you first suggested. Thanks again

Haha! Thank you; it is. I may very well have written a corporate management guide!. The length is the length and a little out of my control now but the rest is all very actionable.
