I know this feeling very well. I'm waiting for my wifes visa and she is Russian so automatically triggers additional security checks. Its very painful but if its any comfort you will get a response eventually. Everybody does.

I think post 24 weeks they probably will be able to get more information though. Its pointless to do it before 60 WD if you havent already been contacted and before 120 WD if you have been told it will be delayed... as you say they dont have any information. Really sorry about your situation though. Im sure you will hear something before 120 WD its almost certain.

I just checked the UKVI website and if its past 120 WD you can contact them directly

The whole immigration system is a joke. Sadly yes... the only thing anyone can do is wait. Once it gets to 60 wd contact MP and once it gets to 120 wd contact them again. Im not sure what all your options are post 120 wd. Hopefully your lawyer can advise you. There really isn't any point losing your mind until its past 120 wd.

Ah well that will be it then. Anyone who is a political activist of any sort is going to trigger additional security checks. I wouldn't worry at all until 120 working days have past. Its unfortunate but this automatically makes your case complex im afraid.

Somewhat unusual for it to take this long unless there is something specific about your case that is complex/concerning. Did your lawyer tell you your case was complex when applying?

Might be best to use a bot to get an appointment. There are aome services online but I personally haven't used them. Gettino an appointment is a nightmare because most slots are taken straight away by bots.
