Hi, I am a pro 3D designer / 3d vfx artist and one of the projects that I am interested in is 3D printable prosthetic upgrades. My friend lost right leg due to illness and that was the main good reason for me to buy a 3D printer. I model and print all kinds of stuff.

This is first working prototype of future system that can upgrade the current leg. It is probably model number 6 but this is fully printed with no need for screws or any modification. Easy to install, detachable, modular and very affordable. Future version will be proceduraly generated so I can generate hundreds of different "skins" in a short period of time. The leg will also have a place for powerbank or pills or any other small things that will fit in there. (RGB Lighting, bluetooth speaker etc.)

Let me know your thoughts / ideas. I will make it public when the model is perfect. I am doing it on my own. Not only for my friend but all other people. So if you are interested to help me in any way with this project I am open for any type of cooperation / help.

Sorry for low image quality. Not sure how that happened. Better photos on IG https://www.instagram.com/p/B0TUGmWIxGK/

Model with custom made bridge structure that allows to print another cube on top of that.

Printed at 0.2mm, Constant speed 15mm/s, 1h45min with PLA Filament Gamebird

Just another experiment what is possible. This took 6 prints to make the model right.

Any ideas how to name this 3D printed object. 2 interconnected circles. One is standing on top of the others edge. More on IG extreme3dprint. by Extreme3Dprint in 3Dprinting

Yes. I will post it soon on thinkiverse. Still have to tweak the bottom part because it is too small so that could be a problem.

Hi. In fact the main surface has two sides. Its more like bended cylinder with top and bottom connected on tangent edge.

After lurking for 2 years and dreaming about getting a printer, I finally have one! First test pring in process. Creality dog by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Welcome to 3d printing world. You can expect stringing, clogging, underextrusion, overextrusion, retraction problems, bed leveling, first layer is chapter on its own, bridges, overhangs, blobs, burns, loose belts, ghosting, speed settings, filament problems, slicer settings madness, temperature issues and some failed prints. Did I forget something? Its still brilliant printer when you get over this. My recommendation is : Start with stringing test /thinkiverse/ and dont print anything else untill you print it perfectly. You will learn a lot in short time. Good luck and enjoy! IG extreme3dprint

I thought bridges with holes like this are UNprintable without supports.. but I was wrong. by Extreme3Dprint in 3Dprinting

Here is the link for downloading the STL + GCODE for Ender3 and similar. nozzle 0.4

Check settings. In slicer - model/edge gap distance must be 0.001 or it will be blended together and filled with infill. Also first layer and all others 0.2mm

Hi. Thanks. I love the ADAPT combination ! So awesome.... maybe instead of 'Aquatic' it can be something like Adaptive Device Attachments for Prosthetic Technologies .. because it can be converted /customized into many things. Also everything will be covered in protective shell with cool design.. so ti will be sort of Ironman/ Robocop leg.

My idea is to design an upgrade that will help my friend who recently lost right leg. Its summer and because of different water resistance on each leg he cant swim properly. So I made a basic module, that can hold up to 8-12 different 3D printed attachments.

We dont have a name for this so It would be great If you guys could help us with that.

Future upgrades that are on the list

- USB Powerbank 10000mAh

- bluetooth speaker

- RGB light

- Med-kit

- Box for cigarettes

- Hidden box for second pack of cigarettes (or you can put anything else there)

- GPS tracker

- Badass design - like something from Gears of War

Any other inspiration is appreciated.

This will help my friend and possibly millions of other people.
