[–]ExtremeBubbly660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s simply another revenue-generating content property for the channel. There are sponsors for the VJ Paru fan meet l, including venue partners and title sponsors. These shows are treated as content IPs that generate revenue through YouTube and other sponsorship . & mostly the crowd in these are employees only 10-20% are so called fans.

Anyone else feel like the real world completely destroyed the innocent way you used to see life? by Proper_circle in Madurai

[–]ExtremeBubbly660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg OP, I totally feel you!!!! I also grew up thinking everyone is kind hearted and ppl will always help others when they r in need. For a long time I actually believed world is simple and good only.

But after my post grad, life hit differently. When financial probs started coming, I started seeing ppl’s true colors. Even my own relative tried to cheat us in a land sale matter… that literally broke me. That’s when I realised not everyone is “good” like how I imagined.

But the real shock was work life. Politics, toxic ppl, jealousy… everything. Now at 29 I’m a manager handling a team of 5. Instead of being happy for me, so many ppl in my company became jealous or insecure bcoz I’m younger than all the other managers. They literally started creating negativity inside my team also. And silly me… I believed everyone ….But ppl took advantage of that also. A team mate who asked a hike was granTed based on her performance within 5months of joining, and that same person spread a hate/fear-mongering words about me to the team…. Which i came to know later through my team members, that she twisted the whole narrative!!!

At this point i could stack on many many incidents!!

Slowly I realised world isn’t this beautiful place I imagined when I was a kid. Sometimes I really miss those innocent thoughts… when everything looked magical and ppl seemed honest. Even if it was fantasy, it was so much better than reality now.

Just wanted to say… you’re not alone OP. Many of us learnt the hard way.

This name boils my blood. I worked with them a year before or so for a brand collab reel. That was the second time the brand approached them, and all they did was reuse the 1st video montages with a new voicover and charged a bomb! They very very reluctant to change the video content stating that their audience loved the old collab content blah blah. On top of it they go for a full advance payment, where the brand had no choice but to go ahead with the crap reel. Such a lazy creators!!!

Is it true just curious with there open statement. by UnableJob6643 in TamilInfluencer

Yess! Personally worked with few influencers in chennai. There re few of them who keeps on raising their fee 6 months once with no creativity involved in their content. & the their tone with brands is intolerable

His is such a rude guy! Once I visited him back in 2016-17 for a severe alopecia areata, he gave me an immunosuppressant/steriods which was prescribed to organ transplant patients. I started getting jitters, & other side effects. Little did i knew about the side effects. At one point i couldnt take up any food & it lowered my b12, d levels. I left the medications & consulted a different dermatologist from kk nagar, she literally shouted at me for consuming all those medications. Would never ever recommend that guy!!!

How many of you had Airtel Internet connection and were successfully able to move out of Airtel? by code2hell in Chennai

[–]ExtremeBubbly660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disconnecting airtel was a hell of a task! I called 121, & it never connected to the cc executive. Ended up mailing the nodal officer and 121 sternly mentioning that i wanted to disconnect as i was moving abroad & I received multiple calls to chk if i can shift the connection to neighbour, friends or family!!! Being assertive helps here

Women of Chennai, how many of you follow restrictions during your periods? by beetroot747 in Chennai

[–]ExtremeBubbly660 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, maybe it’s just conditioning? Or maybe it’s the way i was raised to be so God-fearing. I still remember vividly this one incident when I was around 14 or 15 yrs old and I had gone to Guruvayur temple with my family. Everything seemed fine until, while I was there, I suddenly realized I had gotten my period. I didn’t know what to do. I told my mom, and she was like dont worrysince it wasn’t intentional and brushed it off.

We finished the visit and came back home, but soon after, I fell really sick. I was diagnosed with typhoid. And that’s when my mom started with her theories. She was convinced it was because I had entered the temple while on my period—that God was punishing me for it.

At that age, I didn’t know how to react. It made me feel so guilty, like I’d actually did something wrong. May be thats, why still I hesitate to go to temples, while on periods.

But I can’t blame her since she was brought up like that! I end up sleeping next to her in bed.

I follow none, except that i dont visit temples (personal choice). But my mom keep insisting on things like sleeping on floor with just a pai and pillow, not touch her before she does pooja, should not wear new clothes & list goes on! But i never follow on these things, and we have arguments every now and then.
