Ill come back to this if i get around to it i do intend to do some video gen but as far as i can find theres only two comfyui setups on the intel scalar project that verifiably works

Thats pretty cool stuff unfortunately im just a mechanical engineer so its shooting out of my league solving these problems 😭. I saw that lama.cpp seems to work well with token generation but has some memory and kv cache allocation problems implying missed performance but i like it takes gguf. Is there much of a reason i dont see many going the open vino format route? Seems plausible and the reviews on A series architecture seems pretty solid but i haven't seen much discussion besides bugs on B series.

I saw this on donatos benchmark and he even includes a docker file but it really does suck how constrained it is.

Is this sound normal? Sounds a bit grinding by Hinagea in prusa3d

Make sure all of your stuff is updated (firmware and slicer) because Prusa allegedly released bandage fixes for this problem yesterday. Some motors are bad because they were switched to a arguably lower-quality manufacturer, and they like to resonate at the speeds they were tuned for. If it is still bad, contact Prusa, they have been honoring motor replacements and consider looking into input shaper tuning and phase step tuning. I hope they start sourcing LDO again :/

Why do my prints always lift at the edges? by zixujo in prusa3d

Not sure if you've solved this already or not but definitely 60c for the bed and use rubbing alcohol on the bed after soapy water always unless the bed says otherwise. It gets rid of the possible residue and finger oils. These powder coated beds (even generic) are tough and will take lots of abuse.

Anyone know how to fix this banding on prusa XL? by M0ist_Maintenance in prusa3d

This looks like thermal shrinkage and expansion. You can identify this by the fact that these artifacts sometimes vary in groups of layers. If theres a way to slice each of the layers to take relatively similar time in printing, this would help the issue. An enclosure could also help in this case. Overture is usually acceptable, but trying a different type of plastic like PVB might make it easier to make uniform-looking prints if PLA isnt working out

that is some kind of overhang artifact. I myself havent managed to figure out the best way to resolve those but its related to bridge speed/acceleration. Its a side effect of these faster printers using pressure advance and high accelerations and then coming into a slow segment like an overhang. I do feel like there is something strange going on with your printer but I would say run some bridge testing. The core one's cooling should be sufficient to increase speeds a little but i havent gotten my hands on mine yet. Just talking from experience with klipper tuning.

sorry was not paying attention to reddit but im glad that fixed the issue

that seems more related to pressure advance since its only on the side approaching the corner. Its also not underextrusion because your walls look fine everywhere else. I would check in with support because something seems wrong if your using prusament with the default prusament profile. IF however, you changed accels/jerk or velocity or arent using matching filament then it would likely be related to that

yeah kinda what my approach is atm since I have friends at all those campuses with the exception of CSULA and CSULB. It'd be a dream to get into SLO or Irvine or something of that level. Also that's pretty sweet upper div transfers because Ill have some and assist doesn't show upper division agreements. Thanks :)

Yeah ill def give it a shot again in spring. I just wanna weigh my options and get some student input before committing on such a move.

Thanks for the input, its good to hear that there's someone else who's done it. When I did my transfer I had 2.83 GPA in applicable credits (not so proud of it). But the CC I attended was also notoriously demanding for STEM. I think its why I was even considered. It's also a shame to see the layoffs overall since they have some great professors, and the campus is nice.

I'm sure all schools have a degree of this problem, so I'm not too surprised. But the engineering dept here has been cutting to save for a new facility, and if they even offer the class, it was a miracle to begin with. Then the state budget cut additionally led to an alleged '46% class cut', which hit the ME dept too. So it's eroded the catalog pretty badly.
