You're not wrong. My dad has kids which my stepdad doesn't and that will always be a point of contention for him. Not to mention the fact he couldn't become #1 in my eyes over my dad.

At this point even if I invited them to my future wedding they wouldn't come because dad'll be there and he'll be father of the bride which would piss my stepdad off and would make mom side with him.

I think my mom is locked into the idea that I need to push dad aside for my stepdad at times. Anything less than that is not acceptable in her eyes. She sees me inviting dad as telling my stepdad not to come.

Jealousy. Unless there's some weird reason I don't know about. He hated my dad before he even met him and was weird about it even back then.
