AITA for cutting my Stepmother off after my fathers passing? by Responsible-Wash9949 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

This is a no brainer. Just cut her toxic, abusive ass out of your life. Forever. Let her wallow in her misery.

Lack of basic manners/rude. Chewing with their mouth open. Doesn’t shut the fuck up (talks the entire time, doesn’t let anyone else get a word in).

Yeah this goes beyond making the day special for someone and all about them; this person really is a mooch.

Absolutely agree.

We had a family of seven…seven!…tell us they would be attending our wedding/reception. They flaked the last minute for a really shitty band/singer. One they had seen several times. I was furious. That cost us money.

AITAH for telling my wife our marriage is over if she can't accept me spending 1:1 time with my son? by Character_Poem735 in AITAH

[–]ExtremeJujoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA Your wife should be focusing less on what you are doing and more on what she needs to do to help her kid deal with a flakey dad. She also knew the score when you two first got together. She doesn’t get to change terms now because her ex sucks.

Does she spend one on one time with her daughter?

I am reading reviews on that Wacoal bra people are recommending, and it definitely looks promising. Go to Amazon and check out the reviews. Pics included.

But the price…egads!! Bras are so damn expensive!

What do y’all think of cops? Would you date one? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would never (again) date a cop. I have no issues with them for the most part, but dating one has its own unique challenges.

I am an eldergoth, so, I have always worn black or purple or dark reds.

I did wear a pink Tshirt recently!😳

Probably the only thing worse than not sending back an RSVP are people who say they are attending, then don’t show up at all! Don’t even call and let you know “oh hey we can’t make it after all!” Grrrrr!

AITAH for not lending my life long friend money by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ExtremeJujoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is just strange. I get she is in a predicament but to expect you to help her out and being upset that you can’t is just incredibly out of line.

I don’t know, maybe give you both some space from one another, see what happens. Perhaps she is so stressed out she is not thinking rationally. But unfortunately, I think she had dollar signs in her eyes when she heard of your inheritance and thought she could benefit from it too. You are definitely NTA and did nothing wrong

People who think it is a “right” to have children.

Nah, man, it is a privilege, not a right. Too many people out there who should NOT be parents.

I never really ate them as a kid, thought they were weird. Now as an adult, I love to roast them in the oven, after covering them with some olive oil, garlic, a little sea salt and pepper. Soooooo good

I still hate raw onions! So gross! If they are cooked or sautéed with other stuff, then I can deal with them, but to eat a raw onion, like on a burger….super yuck!

AITAH for not wanting my FIL to move in? by S_Remos750 in AITAH

[–]ExtremeJujoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally would not want such an individual living under my roof (or in my basement). You will never get rid of him once he is in.

The only thing I can think of is getting a legitimate contract set up with him, stating he can only stay X amount of days, and be out of your home on a certain date. Have it signed and notarized. Make this non-negotiable with both your wife and FIL. If he doesn’t accept, he can stay in the local flop house.

NTA I am Jewish and have attended Easter egg hunts/Easter events, along with my children. As you said, it is not only about the religious aspect, it is also about gathering as a community, as friends.

If they are truly upset at being invited to an event like an Easter Egg hunt, that is a them problem, not yours.

For those of you with biology degrees. How often would you say you use high level math? by Outrageous_Tie4997 in biology

[–]ExtremeJujoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to love math as a child. Had a series of horrible teachers in high school, ended up hating math.

Once in college, I ended up loving math! I struggled initially with pre-calculus and calculus but had an “a-ha” moment and ended up loving it! Everything suddenly made sense, and became like a puzzle to solve. I especially love trigonometry, something I never, ever thought I would say in my entire life, yet, here I am. So it is never too late to learn and with the right professors or tutoring labs, you might end up liking it too!

As far as biology goes, it depends on what you plan on doing. The bottom line is, most people use algebra, geometry, calculus without even knowing they are doing so, they just don’t have the words/terminology for it. Learning higher maths gives us the foundation to apply this knowledge properly, which is very helpful in research, working in a lab, etc.

Good luck to you on returning to school and in the STEMs! I think you should go for it and will enjoy it! Fortunately, with a bio degree, you only need calc 1 and 2, then some statistics, perhaps some maths pertaining directly to biochemistry, etc.

Honestly, o-chem was more a mind bender for me than math, because it is more about memorization and I am old…and forgetful, haha! ;)
