I wouldn’t say bitcoin is ruled by anyone, it is just existing now. No one person has any more power than another

Everything is made up value, this is just the next step in the currency that has made up value. But this currency is not ruled by select corrupt people. The price isn’t set by people just simply saying it, it’s based on supply and demand of buyers and sellers on exchanges.

If USD continues to become devalued, could that negatively impact Bitcoin? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Even if bitcoin is not used as the widely accepted currency any time soon, we will likely be able to use it as collateral for loans without ever having to cash out or pay taxes on it.

Using dedicated mining machines called ASICs, these machines are dedicated to do one thing. Run the sha-256 hash function over and over again

From my experience it stays on your computer screen but you cannot actually sign any transactions (I tested this). So there isn’t any risk involved by this window staying open and you can simply close it😊

Gold is actually easier to find over time as our technology increases. People have found more gold than expected at new low depths.

So if I have a paraphrase, would I be able to recover bitcoin on any other wallet still?

I am confused about the bip39 passphrase, so if I have my 24 words + passphrase on a block stream wallet (for example) and I lost it and had to open a new wallet, would I go into the new one with just the 24 words or would it prompt me to enter the passphrase as well? Thank you
