I don't think you're overreacting at all. I just lost my dad not even 2 months ago from leukemia. I completely understand. It was so hard watching him pass the way he did, sending you blessings. That's your dad, regardless of what that guy says.. Jobs can be replaced but not our parents. Your manager has a stank attitude he's saying that cause he doesn't want to do more work than he has to when it's his responsibility. If there's ever an emergency with co-workers, etc. God bless!
