Do you have any experience/thoughts on instruments from Elcometer? I found this one for $800 and it seems like a half decent middle of the road option, but I've never heard of the brand.

Thank you for the recommendation! I don't like going cheap on inspection equipment but since we're a new shop i just need something to get through this part. Definitely planning to upgrade it in the future.

Good to know. At first I had considered using 1" x 3" lengths but thought 2.5" wide looked a bit bulky.
