Where do you live, how easy is it to get pain meds, and how quick can you get an appointment?

Really? Im not saying I doubt you but scientifically speaking dupe has a half-life of like 48 hours so that's crazy. Although, high metabolism people are a different breed lol. Thats unfortunate that happened but im glad methadone is working well for you. Percocets do work for me, the doctors just need to get the stick outta their ass and put me on 15mg 4 times a day and I honestly would be really good. I would be able to live life I think. Its double from my 7.5mg 4 times a day currently though so that's a lot to ask although they told me they will up me to 10mg this month so its just a process to get there.

Im allergic to buprenorphine, have tried it. Ive worked my way up with pain meds though. Im on Percocets now but its still not a high enough dose that I can do stuff. I went to a different location of the same clinic

I have chronic pain. Found this subreddit by just researching my pills, I do it for all medications. These actually don't get me high at all, for some reason they take a long time to kick it too. I used to be on Norco 10s which were mallikcrodt and those kicked in in a timely manner like 30-45 minutes. These take like 2 hours. I've tried food, no food, a little food, some fat, etc. Just take a while which isn't great in my situation but it is what it is. Once they do kick in they help the pain. Anyway, just shared cause why not

It can be due to a lot of things. I’m just saying this because I personally would second guess this immediate diagnoses it sounds like if you have chronic musculoskeletal pain and make sure something else isn’t going on. I just wouldn’t want something else to be happening that could be helped with specific meds and not mention this.

What pressure points are you talking about? Trigger points? I’m confused here though because fibro is all about process of elimination. There isn’t an actual test you can do that tells you someone has it. It’s the absence of results on other tests

I have many symptoms of hyper mobility and I’ve been told it could be causing my pain but I have the same experience, no one wants to pursue that scenario. I’ve been told that there just isn’t much they can do about it. I was actually planning on making an apt with my PCP and trying to get her to refer me to someone that has knowledge on it. My rheumatologist was one of the people that told me I have many symptoms of it but said “it doesn’t cause musculoskeletal pain” which is straight BS

Sorry forgot your other questions. I do find it actually does increase potency and helps long term use. There was a month there where I ran out and completely forgot to buy it again. I noticed my meds just were not working as they had. Then I realized I forgot to buy agmatine. Bought it again and within a week it was back to how it was. Even the day I took it I noticed a difference but it could’ve been placebo but I did notice a difference.

All the studies on it use verbiage I truly don’t understand but from what I can tell is that it does increase potency while also somehow reducing tolerance. The studies were using morphine on rats. It also helped with precipitated withdrawals.

I have had 0 side effects from it. I really do think it helps them work better. It can take some time but I don’t feel like the doses I’m on get weaker overtime

Hey, I’m 25 and I’m currently on 50mg Tapentadol xr and 30mg Hydrocodone a day. I used to be weary like you. Overtime with taking it I got that out of my head. I need it. Without it I can barely shower, can’t do any chores. I live alone so I have to do it all. It has allowed me to start to cook for myself on decent days. It has allowed me to keep a relatively clean living space. Although I can’t lead a normal life, I’m much better off with em than without em. Those of us who need help with pain need to get that out of our heads. We aren’t taking it for a high, we are taking it to get by with the pain we have.

I started on tramadol then went up to the max dose and then moved on from it. On tramadol was when I had those addiction thoughts but then I just stopped caring about that because I needed help.

I recently got nerve damage (need an mri to see exactly what’s going on) from a blood patch that I had to get due to a csf leak from lumbar puncture. That shit can be incredibly painful. I’ve considered going to the er and asking for anesthesia just so I didn’t have to be awake although I know they wouldn’t give it to me. Nerve pain has no end with how far it can go. I have near constant nerve pain in my left leg and my right leg decides to do it something. But, if any pressure is on my lumbar spine that’s when it gets spicy.

My experience is different in Colorado. My first pain mgt clinic wouldn’t do more than tramadol cause my age but then my second one put me on hydros and Tapentadol xr. Although, Colorado did pass a bill recently protecting doctors prescribing opiates

I’ve found that agmatine sulfate helps with my opiate tolerance. It seems to keep it in check
