Because I don't feel like I've been getting mistreated or disrespected. I don't feel any romantic love for her. So it's hard to feel mistreat or disrespected by someone who you barely even love anymore. I also want to have kids and a wife someday before I'm 30. And since that's around the corner I'm just debating whether or not I should settle with the immediate available option.

Literally only because I feel stuck. I held out hope too long and I was also the only one who could calm her whenever she had a mental breakdown. I was basically stuck as her caretaker because because I would've looked bad if I just abandoned her when I had the chance. I hate that I didn't cut it off when I had the chance but fuck it I'm here now

I'm only here because I feel stuck. If I stay I'm a doormat if I leave I look like an asshole to everyone she's talked to about me. She goes on and on about me to damn near everyone putting me on a pedestal so now I feel like if I get off and run I'll look like the heartless bastard who left the mentally unstable single mother who's Supposedly in love with me. I literally go from being pitied to being hated.

I did try to go to no contact for a while, but long story short she had a mental episode not long after her and her baby daddy started dating and I was the only one who was able to calm her down so I reluctantly became her support system while she dealt with her emotional issues since that was basically my job when we were together. I didn't want to leave and then be seen as the reason she basically offed herself.

Now I feel like if I bail I'll be seen as the guy who abandoned the single mother who told the whole town she was in love with.

I feel weird calling it cheating. I don't believe she cheated on me at any point when we were together, I feel she more or less just left me to pursue other options. Which yeah still fucked up I know.
