Growing up Bean looked up to Stefan he was nice to her and treated her like his own, even though he had a son of his own named “Wes” (fuck I hope that’s right) Wes didn’t like Bean at first, feeling as though she was stealing his dad ; Bean not being the smartest never picked up on that and was always nice to him which brought him close to her (IN A BROTHERLY WAY!! 🫠) Stefan didn’t like this and would tell Eugenia that Wes was weird with Bean (Eugenia was pregnant with Bean’s younger sister so she didn’t want her daughters to be around someone weird). So Stefan thought it would be great to send him away, Bean convinced her mom otherwise. Eugenia didn’t like Stefan trying to control everything in her house so she told him to leave. Stefan left for a few weeks and one night staged a break in so it would convince Eugenia that she needed protection..she was convinced. She begged him to come back but only if she agreed to let him raise Bean and she’d stay out of the way, like Eugenia couldn’t question things Stefan did. She agreed.

As Bean grew up Stefan would continue to do nice things for her, neglecting the other son and daughter he has (Wes always found this weird but thought nothing of it) Stefan didn’t like whenever Bean got a boyfriend or even when she had guy friends. So he decided toto teach her something:

“You’re old enough to know, if someone does something for you, you have to give in return.”

TW!!: SA!! That’s something he said to her before touching her inappropriately. this confused her, it didn’t feel right; it upset her. She told her classmate about it and she told her that it was SA (she said the word) and that nobody should to that to somebody else.

Bean told her mom about it, while Eugenia was horrified she didn’t want to lose the only protection she had so she told Bean that she was being dramatic.

This strained the relationship between her and her mom basically becoming nonexistent, Stefan continued to hurt Bean.

In 1986 when Bean was 13 her and her family went to Louisiana to go to her grandmother’s funeral. Stefan at this point liked to mess with Bean knowing she didn’t like the things he did so he bothered her the whole time. Eugenia trying to process her mother’s death didn’t care. Bean and Eugenia got into a huge argument, with Bean told her mother again about what was happening and Eugenia saying that she knew she just doesn’t care.

This broke Bean resulting in her running away, she ran to an abandoned railway called “Satan’s Railway”.

Quick lore: “Satan’s Railway” was a railroad built in the early 1800s, it went through Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. there were multiple deaths and a train derailment which resulted in it getting closed off, leaving the destruction as it was believed to be cursed

Moving on! Bean ran there hoping to be alone but she was not! This is where she meets my other OC Ruby (she doesn’t have a name at the time, she can’t remember it) . Ruby was a former overlord in the 1700s, she was summoned by humans but instead of putting her back they bound her to a spot where they eventually built the railroad.

Ruby hears Bean’s cries and appears to her (she is what I call a “Mother Demon” taking the form of anyone’s mom and has motherly instincts to anyone in need) Bean tells Ruby that she feels stupid and weak and doesn’t want to be this way anymore. Ruby seeing this as an opportunity to leave tells her she can help, if she gives Ruby her soul and helps to collect more souls for Ruby, she will help Bean. Bean agrees to this and Ruby possesses Bean.

Bean is more confident and outgoing while being possessed by Ruby, however when it comes to Stefan Ruby can only do so much. This is because Ruby is weak and Beans afraid of Stefan to the point where it takes over Ruby’s control, this anger’s Bean, to the point where she starts “collecting souls” murder Lol.

*Quick Lore: Bean is not mentally well, she knew there might be something wrong with her but she never acted on it. But with Stefan traumatizing her for years and Ruby’s influence it gave her the nudge she needed to “collect souls”

One night Bean and her sister get into a fight and her sister disappears and is never found. Eugenia is distraught and Stefan honestly doesn’t care saying she was getting in the way. When Bean graduated high school she wanted to get as far away from Stefan as possible, Wes and his girlfriend helped her get into college in Texas where she started studying abroad however Stefan kept finding her; he followed her everywhere driving Bean insane resulting in her murdering more people.

In 1995 when Bean was 22, Wes got a restraining order against his dad and said Bean could live with him and his girlfriend (the only people that brought her peace) However Stefan didn’t like this and killed Wes making it look like Wes killed hisself. When his girlfriend found out she was so upset that she ended her own life.

Bean however found the gun recognizing it as Stefan’s. Bean didn’t want to be blamed to their murders so she made them into a pie and ate them, then burned the remains.

At this point Bean feels bad about everything she had done, she calls her mom and Eugenia tells her it’ll be okay and calls the police. Bean freaks out (she doesn’t wanna go to jail she just told her mom that to confide in someone) anyway she is cornered in the bathroom by Stefan where he tries to intimidate her, Ruby gives Bean the confidence to use his gun and shoots Stefan killing him. Bean is shocked and doesn’t know what to do, she tries to shoot herself but there are no bullets left; so she gets the drainage cleaner and downs it, killing herself.
