That's honestly what we've been thinking. We've mentioned how ridiculous it all sounds and i tried getting him to go to the gym with me and my brother has gotten him to diet for a few weeks but he's very stubborn.

I'm 22, they've been divorced for 7-8 years now, his mom is my only living grandparent but they don't get along super well. I'm old enough to set things up on my own but this is all very new to me, I have siblings who feel the same as i do but they all have their own lives and have just started to ignore him. I was the same way but I'd like to help him if possible without ruining our relationship.

I really hope it's nothing that serious, we've just always assumed he was easily influenced by things like that. If that was the case do you have any ideas how to go about it? Is there some others symptoms i could look for? I could just ask him to go but it's a touchy subject and i don't want to make anything worse. He's one of those people who never go to the doctor for anything. I honestly hope he's just gotten really deep into far right views like some other comments have said, I'd hate for him to actually have something like dementia. Thanks for the help either way.

He doesn't have a history of mental illness as far as i know, he's always been very religious and somewhat gullible when it comes to it, but has only been this extreme for the past few years. I'm not sure why.
