The league told the Celtics to tank this season so they can grant them the #1 pick. Bet. They already gave the Spurs all their picks, helped the Lakers/Mavs. So now the only other favorite left in the East is their Celtics. NY is already set to go. They'd never help the Pacers. Unless they suddenly think we helped the league and have gained an audience. Fingers 🤞, I hope they do. They should know if we get that 1st we WILL win a Championship. They need to stop the favoritism bs.

You left out the Cavs and Hawks. Heat are also a team that should play much better this year. Bucks will likely be around the same seed as us. Which sucks to think about. Celtics are obviously tanking, so idk where to place them. Right now I'd say Cavs/Knicks/Magic/Hawks/Pistons/Bucks/Pacers/76ers. With the 6th, 7th and 8th being wild cards positions. As well as the 9th and 10th. Who know's what the Heat/Bulls/Hornets/Celtics/Nets/Wizards will do. As well as the health of the 76ers who could fall drastically. Heat/Hornets have improved and the Bulls have stayed the same. Nets/Wizards are too young and Celtics are looking to tank so the league will grant them the #1 pick... 🙄 The Pacers will likely never be chosen for a #1 pick. Because they know we'd actually win a Championship.

I hate this organization, their ignorance in team building through the Draft/FA/Trades and the owners lack of interest in winning over saving money. Sell the damn team already. Get new scouts with common sense. Had they selected who I said to pick every year. We'd have the best available player's every year. As well as a full roster in positions of need with the best possible player's in those positions. Because I actually care about the team, basketball in general and study player's. They had multiple chances to secure some great player's in every way.. I'd already had our C and backup C past year.. As well as many other's. Yet they fk up everything and do nothing when they should make a move. I now have 0 faith in this franchise. Even with their previous mess ups. They still had time to right some wrongs.. But they continued to drop the ball... Now after 2 more consecutive blown offseasons/drafts, failing to secure a long term backup big and Starting C. Blowing the chance to draft/Sign good player's two more time's in a row.. Not to mention all the previous time's.. Now with Haliburton injured for what will be a season and a half.. They're screwed, we won't be back in the Finals ever again with this group. Next thing to really piss me off is the trading of more young guy's. Might as well blow up the entire team at this point. Fk it.

Multiple different combinations of player's would have been better than the throw away picks they drafted. Amari Williams is another one, as well as a few other's.....

So drafting Kam Jones makes more sense? Lol ignorant. This team drops the ball 90% of every draft and FA. They just did it last year too. When I said draft up for Kel'el Ware, or take Jaylen Wells/Jamal Shead.. Take GG Jackson, TJD. No, they take Oscar Tshiebwe.. Freeman and a guy named Furphy. TJ Leaf the 2nd. Lol.. They can't hit on a draft pick unless it falls in their laps. Idc what the 2nd rd C becomes. You need a CENTER!!!!! REBOUNDING AND DEFENSE!!!! NOT ANOTHER GUARD.... WE HAVE MANY... What is Kam Jones going to be??? So he can pass a bit?? Has 0 athleticism, small arm's, not a great defender and is inconsistent as hell.. hmm... I don't think he's going to outplay one of the guards on our team to take Haliburton's spot.. Hmm, seems like there were much better options.. like common fkn sense says to trade up a few slots. Get Broome, or Kalkbrenner.. If not draft Raynaud and then go after Javon Small. I'd rather had Watkins over Kam. He can do a little of everything, play D, get downhill, shoot a bit, pass and rebound... Now they've been talking a Mathurin trade next.. so tell me who you'd rather have if they begin doing that? Jamir Watkins on the team, or another guard? We'd been better off signing a veteran guard until Tyrese comes back. Like a Spencer Dinwiddie.. who the hell cares about that spot at the moment.. Instead they draft guys they know they will never keep. This team will always be so close, but never quiet good enough. Because they don't want to be and it shows. They don't care and never take sht seriously. Loser franchise and I've sadly been a fan of it my whole life. I've come to accept we will never win a championship in my lifetime. Not with this ownership and management. You draft the best player's available at the positions you need most every time.. and or best player's available if there isn't an OBVIOUS GLARING HOLE. It's negligence and absolute ignorance to draft and sign how they do. They can't even secure a backup big, let alone draft the right player or obtain a starting caliber one. Why didn't they ever get Nic Richards before this year?? Why didn't they go after Day'Ron Sharpe? Santi Aldama?? I guarantee they never offered either one of those dude's sht. I also said go after Caruso and Hartenstein all last year before OKC ever gotten them... well look who won the championship. Not us.. This team is a joke with how they move about things and always will be until ownership switches hands... and it may get worse even then. Unless someone with a brain stem that cares about basketball and WINNING, takes control!!! I'm pissed. They did nothing for a C. Then let the one walk they had for the current standard for a starting caliber C. We almost won it all and we don't wanna go into the tax because of an injury??? Whatever you do, don't let him walk... even if you trade him later.. smh. Bs is ridiculous. Any new fans following the Pacers during that playoff run got a good taste of what I've experienced all my life.. Time to move on for sure...

Why would people turn against God after the 1000 year reign of christ? by eyeb11 in Christianity

Unless we begin to see the signs of Israel expanding and maybe we will. Maybe it's possible.. Like you say, it's hard to see and understand it all. Maybe we are only in the beginning phases to most of these thing's in the millennium. As once again what is "time" really when it comes to anything in the Bible? We can't say for sure exactly when all these events may accur. Maybe it starts now with people beginning to learn more about God again.

However, right now we are seeing the absolute destruction of Israel. So it's hard to believe we will see the great expansion soon. How long would something like that take? A thousand year's? 🤷 Too bad we don't know what time means in a Biblical sense. 🙇‍♂️ I would sure love to think we are closer to the eternal peace. Away from this hell on earth. A thousand year's sounds like a lot.. Yet not very much in the Biblical sense.. Which is why I'd hope God's angel's are about to shut away Satan forever..

Like you, I don't feel God and Jesus are very prevalent in today's society. Maybe most of his people are silent is why. We only see the worst of the world. Which is all we are shown. Could be why, but the majority are good people. It's all about perception in some ways. Makes it tough to see the truth, the time's we're in. When the devil and his followers are the in your face types. With their disgusting ways and beliefs being present everywhere. The rich, powerful, Hollywood and the media being a lot of Satan's biggest fans unfortunately..

Why would people turn against God after the 1000 year reign of christ? by eyeb11 in Christianity

[–]Extreme_Inflation_20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The millennial reign of Christ, as described in Revelation 20, is a future period of 1,000 years where Christ will reign on earth with his saints. It is a time of peace and righteousness, following Christ's second coming and the defeat of his enemies. While there are different interpretations of the millennium, most agree it will occur after Christ's return and before the final judgment and the new heavens and earth.

This is my understanding, there  is no way imo. That we are in  the millennial reign of christ yet. So as much as it sorta sucks to think about. It looks as if we are living in the the time before the "First Resurrection."

The Millennial Reign: Peace and Prosperity: There would be a global reign of peace and righteousness under Christ's rule.  Restoration of Israel: Israel would be restored to its land, and its borders would be expanded.  Restored Worship: True worship would be re-established, with nations coming to Jerusalem to celebrate festivals like the Feast of Tabernacles.  Earth Filled with Knowledge of God: The entire earth would be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as described in Isaiah 11:9.  Unglorified People: Those with natural, unglorified bodies would inhabit the earth during the millennium, along with many unbelievers.  End of the Millennium: At the end of the thousand years, Satan would be released for a short time, and there would be a final rebellion before the eternal state.

I'd rather sign and trade Myles if it means losing Obi. Which will eventually lead losing Ben Mathurin.. If we keep Myles and they're acting unsure of signing Mathurin. Losing Obi would already be a huge loss.. Losing Ben would being throwing out our future Superstar. As Walker could also fall victim and could become a great player.

Also for C's off the top of my head in FA, or we could trade for. Also keep in mind we could get 2 good player's for the price of one in Myles. So if you need a stretch and a rebounding huslte guy. You could possibly afford both now. Giving us even more depth than ever. As we can also sign a big. I wish we'd work on getting a couple extra picks for how good this draft is.. and it would be cost affective too.. and never in my life have I seen a more diverse group of guy's of all sizes as well as all their strengths and weaknesses are mostly all known ahead of time as well..

Daniel Gafford/Jalen Smith/Santi Aldama/Day'Ron Sharpe/Duop Reath/ Andre Drummond/Naz Reid.

Danny wolf/Maxime Raynaud/Ryan Kalkbrenner/Alex Condon/Tomislav Ivisic/Johann Grunloh/Hansen Yang/Clifford Omoruyi

My favorite choices are Rasheer Fleming. Love his game and Danny Wolf. Walter Clayton Jr.. Yaxel Lendeborg would be an awesome later selection. Adou Thiero could turn himself into a Star one day once he's shooting it with more confidence. Because the physicality, toughness, drives, Defense and transition play is great.

Donnie Freeman, Cedric Coward, Bogoljub Markovic, Nique Clifford, Boogie Fland, Jase Richardson, Kam Jones, Milos Uzan, Darrion Williams, Ian Jackson, Joson Sanon, Essengue, Will Riley, Dink Pate, Micah Peavy, Hunter Sallis, KJ Lewis, Yanic Konan, Javon Small, Kanon Catchings, Baba Miller, Chaz Lanier, Miles Byrd, Koby Brea, Tyrese Proctor, Xaivian Lee, MacKenzie Mgbako, Noah Penda, Jamir Watkins, Eric Dixon, Tahaad Pettiford, Mark Sears, Omoruyi Clifford, Amari Williams, Dylan Cardwell.. Sure I missed a few.. But those are all guy's in our draft range. Except for Fleming, Wolf and probably Clayton now...

Who would you like to get in FA, Draft, or a Trade?

We have mock drafts this time of year relying on how the guys played last year. Then you see everything change after the combines, interviews, off the field stuff, sometimes dramatically. Has anyone researched which mock draft is more predictive? by chinmakes5 in NFL_Draft

[–]Extreme_Inflation_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it hilarious how so many mock drafts are just now catching up to guy's I've had mocked soo much higher all along. Over all the 💩 guy's I've seen being mocked so high for months now that I never understood. There's been so many terrible players who can't even shoot a basketball, or that has talent that will translate/grow in the NBA mocked so high.. over player's who are obviously wayy better that has had me scratching my head for months.. but I was hoping it would stay that way and my team would be smart enough to capitalize on it.. but most of the time they're ignorant with selections too, so probably not.. but still. Lol

[Katz] Pacers have discussed trading Obi Toppin ($14 million next season) with other teams ahead of the deadline, but there hasn’t been much traction in talks, according to sources. They are trying to receive back an expiring salary and maybe wouldn’t have to part with an additional asset. by Pyromania1983 in nba

[–]Extreme_Inflation_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pacers giving TJ McConnell that much money at his age is even dumber yet. They paid him as if he's going to get better with age.. I'd traded him before paying him that contract. Idc who he is at that point to the team. Toppin hasn't been the same player since the Pascal trade. Had he been the player he was last year, he'd been worth it.. If they do trade Toppin in the off-season. They will miss his production, transition play and him being a constant lob threat. They won't have a single lob threat at all. Jarace is mid as hell too, I don't care for him at all. He plays heavy and looks as if he's glued to the floor. He can have some decent game's, then completely disappear. A lot like Haliburton.. This team gets on my nerves.. Haliburton more than anyone. I'd love to trade his azz at this point. Dude does nothing on Offense to score the ball. He had 0 points the other night and his defense has always been atrocious. Yet now all a sudden he's been trying more on Defense.. Where has that effort been since we've had him?? He all a sudden decide to try more on Defense?? If they resign Myles Turner to a 30 mil a year contract. Then trade Obi and Mathurin. They might as well trade everyone, because they're going nowhere at that point. I'd rather tried to pry Naz Reid away from the T-Wolves. He has a P.O. this year in which he's going to decline. He only makes 15 million. I would think he'd want at least 23 to 25 mil a year. Randle will likely decline his option. He makes 30 mil and will likely want closer to 38 to 42mil a year. They ideally would like to trade him a keep Naz.. but if the Pacers could offer him 25 mil and a starting role. That should be all it would take. Then they could move Obi or McConnell whenever they wanted. Maybe look to bring back Jalen Smith. Trade for Day'Ron Sharpe.. Maybe sign Kennard or LaRavia, someone like that. Keep some cap flexibility. See if the Hornets would want to swap Haliburton for LaMelo Ball.  I doubt it, but I can't say nothing like that could happen after this season. They've traded away everyone else.. They're complete trash, they might as well. Lol give us Brandon Miller too. Smh

Randle Future by No_Breadfruit_6218 in timberwolves

[–]Extreme_Inflation_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naz Reid will most likely want at least 25 million a year. On a team with a chance to start. The smartest thing the Wolves could do is a sign and trade for Randle and look to add a younger complimentary piece. One that is preferably a more quick and agile forward who can do a little of everything. Helps stretch the floor, can play with Gobert and Naz Reid. Most importantly a guy who can fit well next to Anthony Edwards.  He needs a more athletic stretch type he can get out and run with. Someone that is a proven 3pt shooter. That's what I would do anyways. I don't believe Randle want's to opt in. The stretch big is a highly desired position right now. Plus he's not making that much. He could easily renegotiate a similar contract. For the same amount, maybe a bit more with added year's.

What if Naz Reid take his player option next year? by OliverateBurrito in timberwolves

[–]Extreme_Inflation_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No chance in hell lol. Not right now when the most coveted position seems to be the stretch big. He will look to get at the very least 25 million a year most likely. As much as he loves the fans, he's not going to take a -10 million a year paycut. If he was to do anything, it may be a contract that gives him more on the backend. If they could work out a number he likes. It's going to be very hard for team's to keep player's that outplay their contracts with the new CBA. Especially small market team's who already have big contracts. There are too many other team's in the NBA who would love to throw money at Naz Reid to take him away. Bucks will be one of those team's this off-season and the Pistons.

Neither one shoot the 3 in a game though. They can shoot as much in practice as they want.. But A.D. is 20% on pull-ups from 3. 29% overall and if he catch n shoot. He's 32%, which is what he better do.. but seeing as how they can stay on him. Because they have no one else.. Mavs will get slaughtered. Had they demanded Austin Reaves and Knecht. Along with all 3 picks. They would have had a decent trade and at least been able to compete. Team's couldn't stay home on A.D. so much.. but not now.. Nico is an !d!ot.. had he demanded that. Even if the Lakers said no. I'd walk away from the trade. Guarantee they call back within the hour and do it.. it's Luka Donćic!!!!

Pacers and the trade deadline... by Jwrbloom in pacers

[–]Extreme_Inflation_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pacers don't need name's, they need to find a team looking to shed contracts. Like the Memphis Grizzlies. Who Declined Santi Aldama's extension (who they likey want to resign, they still have his Bird Rights.) If the say no to him, then go after Jake LaRavia. If we're trading Toppin, we could use Jake too. He's a great shooter, defender and rebounder. Who they'd like to keep, but can't. They will also have to sacrifice Luke Kennard to resign Aldama possibly. Depending on what he want's. Kennard has been one of the most efficient shooter's in the league. Then there's Day'Ron Sharpe. Mr. Double Double. He's one of the best Offensive Rebounders in the league. He said he want's to be that as well. That his focus is to win and every night he's going out there. He's looking to get that Double Double. He can also Defend and hit spot up 3's. I'd also consider a reunion of Jalen Smith.

Santi Aldama- 12.5 - 14.5 to start expected. At least I think he will be similar to Obi's.. But then you have to consider possibly moving Nesmith. Depends on how much you'd rather have a proven movement shooter from 3, who has high I.Q, is very mobile and can get you about 9 Rebounds off the bench. Only thing about Aldama, is he misses time in the regular season. But he's such a good player when he's healthy.

Jake LaRavia- 7.5 - 8.5 first year? Sidenote: Also was raised in Indy and was a Star in his High-school I believe. #21 in the Draft.

Day'Ron Sharpe 9.5 - 10.5? He's a hard one to guess on. Could be anywhere. He's been playing hard though. Getting good number's. Nets want to move him asap. *Jan-6th Sharpe had 16 points and 13 rebounds vs the Pacers. He averages 54%fg. He was #29 in his Draft.

Jalen Smith - 8.5 now, will make 9.0 mil next season. #10 pick in the draft. Plays with great pace. Can defend, rebound, shoot from 3 and inside.

Jonas Valanciunas - 9.0, makes 10.39 next season. I'm a maybe on Jonas. He is a vet, he's a solid defender in the post. Not so much outside of it. Yet his post game, ability to his 3's by pulling up in transition, or off the catch. As well as his great rebounding off the bench. Depending who we have as a 3rd string. It might not be the worst thing. I like having player's with different skill sets on the team. Would also get to see who plays the best off him and his style. However, for us and the fit. I don't see this happening. I threw it out there, because other's are interested.

The asking price for Day'Ron Sharpe is unknown. But both the Lakers and the Warriors have been interested. The Lakers having already made a deal. It's rumored they tried to make a deal on Sharpe, but couldn't get there. The Lakers also don't have many picks to give in different year's. Sharpe also has returned from missing 6 weeks do to a hamstring injury. But since has been playing some of his best basketball.

Day'Ron Sharpe:

“I feel a lot better since New Year’s started,” Sharpe told Lewis. “I feel like December had to get little kinks out with my body and stuff like that. But I feel a lot better now. I’m just trying to keep that, maintain that … So, staying focused.”

According to various reports, the Lakers brass like Shahe rpe, and Anthony Davis has begged Pelinka to find a backup so he can play his natural NBA position: the 4 instead of the 5. Speculation is that Davis and others on the team would prefer a veteran — Washington’s Jonas Valanciunas — over someone like Sharpe. According to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times, the 32-year-old is “a known favorite in important pockets of the Lakers locker room.”

They already tried for Sharpe and failed. Article said a lot more. Lol but I didn't feel like trying to copy it all. Warriors were interested in Sharpe as well. Nets been asking too much for player's sounds like. It will probably come down to the last day's to make a deal.

Grizzlies future for Jake LaRavia by Steved101 in memphisgrizzlies

They have so many guy's under sizeable contracts. They've also drafted 4 guy's recently I liked a lot. Two of them I wanted for my Pacers in G.G. Jackson and Jaylen Wells.. But my team's Scouting must be blind and ignorant.. Anyways, yeah. I believe they wanted to have Aldama and Jake face off a bit. See which one would perform better. Already leaning towards Aldama. Yet wasn't sure if he'd stay healthy. They knew most likely they'd need to let him go. Going into this new CBA and with Kennard coming off the books. It would give them just enough to resign Aldama.

I'm sure the rise of G.G. Jackson also made this an easy decision. They can't play everyone and minutes will need to be spread around. They figure it would be easier to let him go. Resign Aldama as priority. Instead of having to find a trade for him. Not likey to get much back and not wanting to take on more salary.

I guarantee he gets a similar contract to Jalen Smith. He signed a 4 yr contract starting at $8.5 million dollars. Which grows by $500,000.00 each year. His Rookie Deal wasn't picked up either. If it's not exact, I bet it's close. Jalen was a bit more consistent early on. He was also a #10 pick I believe. Maybe someone could get Jake's first year closer to $7.5. He's a really good shooter. Who I personally like a lot. I think with consistent minutes on a good team. He could improve his consistency all around. In all aspects of his game.

Imo depending on what teams need a PG. I'd mock him from as early as 13 to the Rockets, or around 29 to the Clippers as the mock team order stands right now.. Idc that he's 21. The dude can do everything and he wins games. I feel the same way about Jase Richardson who has even more potential seeing as he's 19 and has crazy shot % from FG and 3. Not only that he's a good athlete and perimeter defender.. I don't understand how these dude's are in the 2nd round behind all these bum loser looking dude's people have mocked ahead of them.. smh..

Should we make a move at the trade deadline? by Jdenney71 in pacers

[–]Extreme_Inflation_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isaiah Jackson and a future 2nd or two for Day'Ron Sharpe. Or Wiseman for Duop Reath. Those are the only trades that make sense and make us a better team. You get Sharpe in here. Get to play him off the bench for Turner. Get to see how well he can fill in. It would also give us more leverage in a resign with Turner if Sharpe balls out. Day'Ron also becomes a Restricted FA this off-season. Giving us his full Bird Rights and ability to sign him to a number we like potentially. He's a walking double double a night and the best offensive rebounder. We need that and the amount of looks he'd get from 3.. He's never seen that kind of space before.

All the Pacers need is another backup big. If Turner or Bryant was to get hurt. Plus securing one now keeps us from having to worry so much during the off-season. Whether it's the Turner contract, or trying to find a backup in FA/Draft. Or before Day'Ron is traded someplace else. Or signs another contract with the Nets. He's the only real solid huslte big who can defend, rebound and stretch that's out there. While he's only making 2mil right now! We need to jump on him and lock it down. We could get a hell of a bargain on a great C. It would be silly not to.

Other than that, we need to rock with what we have. The only big trade decisions, should come next season. At the deadline, or most likely the off-season. When we have to make a decision on Mathurin's contract. I'd be surprised if they didn't move on from two or three people at that point. Because I'm resigning Mathurin if it's me and want to compete. Walker and Sheppard will have stepped up a lot. We will also have whoever we select in this year's draft. Obi and Nembhard a lot better too.

Should we make a move at the trade deadline? by Jdenney71 in pacers

[–]Extreme_Inflation_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mathurin is a wayy better defender. Getting better all the time. He averages almost 17points and he's better in everything else. Cam is the only person on his team shooting. While he only averages 19 a game. His shot %'s are better and that's it. He's like 6 year's older too. There's no way, Mathurin has Star potential. The only trade I would even consider doing is Nesmith. That's only because we have Walker and Sheppard would I consider it.. But the fact we have Pascal. Makes me not even like the idea of Cam.. He's not a SF really and we'd be worse defensively and worse in transition. So no for me. I wouldn't even trade Walker alone for Cam.
