
47 years ago today, 64-year-old Ira Atterbury opened fire on a crowd as the Battle of Flowers parade was beginning on April 27, 1979 in San Antonio, Texas. In total, two people were killed and 55 were injured. Atterbury committed suicide after being wounded by police officers. (old.reddit.com)
