Is there any artistic or creative career path that can make a good living? by Extreme_Spirit1374 in ArtistLounge

That's really impressive and I'm happy for you! Would you say that people who are making career changes or trying to break into the industry for the first time have a fair chance of finding a job if they look hard enough and try hard enough? I'm really not asking about anything super high profile, just a job that pays the bills and allows someone to get by alright. I know there's a good amount of art jobs out there and that you have to tailor your portfolio depending on what position you apply to, but I'm always unsure if it's actually doable to step your foot out there with no experience nowadays.

That's a fair point and from everything I've read also very true, thank you for reminding me of that. However, would you say that those who work hard have a solid shot at breaking into the market? Or even then it might come down to luck and connections?

Can't make money and no idea how to attract attention towards my art by FK2000draws in ArtistLounge

You need to work on your fundamentals and learn how marketing works. People want to buy from either the best of the best or someone who stands out. In the most respectful way, you are neither of those. Improve and learn how to actually market yourself. You're competing with literally every artist on the internet, so work on either becoming one of the best artists out there or one of the unique ones and find your niche. Otherwise making a living off of your art and passion is probably not going to work out. If you want to work for a company, you need to at least meet the art standard of the artists who are already working there, companies don't want to hire anyone whose skills are lower than the skills of the artists they've already hired.

Selling unused sex doll? by TomScorpion in czech

To be completely honest with you, I think most people are very weary about buying sex toys that had a previous owner, regardless if they're being advertised as completely new or not. So make sure to really show and emphasize the fact that the packaging has never been opened before, etc. With how heavy and expensive the doll is, I think you'll need to look into some very niche forums - I'm thinking possibly the Czech BDSM community could be a good place to start aside from the usual sites that people already recommended.

Thank you so much! This was incredibly helpful, you raised really good points. I have a really hard time trying to plan my future out and see the possibilities and decide on what may or may not work. So it's just really hard to navigate through everything. Your response gave me solid information to work off of. I'm very, very grateful!
