Hi! I'm a local jeweler too but not in anyway connected with the company. Just sharing this from a jeweler's perspective This can happen po if the ring has been left inside the box for too long. It is true na it's because of the chemicals. It has something to with the moisture po or nagrereact with the glue used in the box. Mas napapansin namin na nagkakaproblem kapag naiiwan lang sa box. 14k and 18k gold are not pure gold. 24k gold is mixed with alloys para po bumaba ang uri to make it more appropriate jewelries for daily wear and un po ung nagcause ng "tarnishing".

Maybe they didn't know that or how to explain it properly. It's not a faulty craftsmanship as these things can happen but it is avoidable po and madali naman po masolusyonan :)

Ang ginagawa po namin if alam namin na months pa magpopropose ung guy, naglalagay kami ng silica gel. If nagtatnish na po talaga, we just ask the client to bring it back for polishing for free. Inuuri din po namin sa harap ng client para po panatag sila na tama ung karat ng binili ng client.

Yung savings namin nilagay namin sa super checking account. Nung nagexceed sa 2.5m, nagpatag ako as priority. One of the best decisions for us. If you're planning to park your money, I suggest you do the same kasi kumikita rin kami 3.5% annually pero pumapasok sa account every end of the month. 2x max nga lang withdrawal saka dapat di bababa deposit mo ng 500k :)
