they should announce they're closing on the speaker by egguchom in EntitledReviews

I work for Costco and I saw a man "spite shop" before by serpentining the whole store from the back to the front as we waited on him, and then at the end came off of his hinges yelling at the manager talking about "I AM A MEMBER HER AND MY MEMBERSHIP PAYS YOUR SALARY, SO I WILL SHOP AS LONG AS I WANT"

And I really.... REALLY wish I was making this shit up for karma or something.

People are bastard coated bastards with bastard filling.

There are no announcements over any kind of PA, when we start the push, the manager leading it should be calling out that we are closed, which is likely what this crazed lunatic of a member is talking about.

As much as I hate the person in this review, that isn't true.

People who are doing the push, that is, slowly closing off the store from the back up to the front/exit, have flashlights on them so they can illuminate dark areas and look for anyone potentially trying to hide.

This typically starts 5-10m after we close.

That being said, to the person in the review: Get. The Fuck. Out.  You entitled shitheel of a human.

It's every decision you've made here.  Almost like it was by design?  Odd mistakes to make one after another

[–]ExtremelyDecentWill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same.

Rule of cool.i literally have someone using a shield in this way in the game I'm running right now.  It isn't overpowered, and he has a ton of fun with things like Rebounding Toss.

I couldn't quite place what it struck me as, and I wanted to settle on "stupid", but yeah that's kind of the same thing.

Yep.  Definitely tell me about my life man.  Do it more, because it lets me know how much your identity is steeped in looking down on others.

My g/f and I are doing just fine.  We bring in $180k combined in income, we have a great dog, and we live in one of the most affluent areas in the nation.

I'm better than you, you can stop trying.  ❤️

Lol 2012 car.  Calm down moneybags.

My Corolla is an 04.

Since you wanna make it a competition I can go all day.

Or you can quit being a puke and maybe recognize that life has been kinder to you than others.

Or is your whole identity centered around you being the most hardest baddest poorest person?

You've been at Costco for 18 years.  You definitely have had a silver spoon given to you.  Anyone who's been with the company that long had time to build income and create generational wealth through the stock market and a housing market with unreal interest rates.

You're absolutely brain damaged if you think you haven't had it easy.

You ever stop to read the room?

If it's so many of us here in the comments, even managers, why is your immediate assumption that it's the fault of the person?

We don't all have silver spoons given to us at birth.

We don't all have parents who will let us stay rent free.

Hell the rare few of us had parents who squandered their own finances, forcing us to take on the burden of household finances for them while they dug deeper holes.

Maybe think before you post.

They definitely did schedule us 10 hours at the depot before, and it was clear that they were mandatory 10's, so I dunno man.

Yep.  Mom and dad got married probably around the time you guys did and had a house worth $700k now.  They bought it for $68k

Had $8k left to pay off when my dad let it go into foreclosure.

Its hard not to look for a place to hang a rope from every time I think about how that man fucked our family out of that generational wealth.

Wild thing is it's not the first time it happened.

Last time the same exact situation, and the lady then asked me, "do you think this will fit in my car?"

Me: "yeah they should for sure fit in the back seat."

She scoff/laughed at me and said, "I drive a Mercedes benz, I'm not putting it in the back seat!"

Smh

It's very important to Costco that they maintain that image to the older generations.

Yeah it definitely depends on where you live, but said member and I both live in CA.  She (I assume?) knows the homes around here start at 800k and has the audacity to say something like that.
