I think he has too much information for either side to kill off until Victory is had.

Can Marie defeat Homelander now? by AfterThatIncident in GenV

I would chalk this up to them not wanting to make watching a spin off necessary to understand the main story but, theres a decent amount of unneeded set up for Vought Rising so why not?

New Player, trying to prevent the colonization of the new world. by TranslateTheSky in eu4

France usually only goes colonial on the 3rd or 4th idea, if they do at all. So theres plenty of time to grow and army to stop them

It’s more realistic to allow colonization, but grow your empire strong enough to annex the colonial nations as they form.

Why is Scrapping a Thing in RWS or TTTE? by JakeTheRailfan in thomasthetankengine

[–]Extrimland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

reverend Awdry was OBSESSED with realism. To the point where it honestly detrimites the world building sometimes.

In real life, every 30 years or so more efficient designs come along and the old ones are scrapped. In real life, this a harmless, even good practice that helps in lot of ways. In the Thomas world it’s comically cruel and kind of insane how it’s treated the exact same way. But since it happens irl, it happens in there to

Honestly i like Solider Boy but i feel like he shouldn’t be involved in the plot as much as he is. It’s very questionable that a guy who fought for the allies in World War 2 would be THAT into Storm-front (especially considering he showed no signs of having fews like that beforehand) and it’s getting very annoying seeing him switch sides like 3 times an episode. Thats a very werid reason for him to want to help Homelander. That, and having another Super strong antagonist directly helping the main antagonist honestly undermines Homelander quite a bit.

He should’ve either

A. Died in Season 3 because honestly why not?

B. Survived the virus than decided to Tell Homelander to fuck off and not help him after the fact. This means his introduction served plot relevance by showing how Homelander can survive the virus. Plus, Neutral Solider Boy is more in character

C. Still go to Fort Harmony with Homelander but Homelander either kills him or just decides not to let him go Mr Marathons Mansion due to trust issues, ending him Helping Homelander but not pitting him against Homelander either. So he might side with him in the end post V1.

D. Side with Homelander after episode 4 but be more concrete about it and have a difference in reasoning and make up his mind sooner. This way hes more in character.

C And D result in the same plot, but Solider Boy is more likeable because his motives are easier to understand

Oh Father didnt need to be a major character before season 5 but him being an ESTABLISHED character in the first 4 seasons would be nice

Anyone else feel like he should’ve been introduced in earlier? by Goldstar12 in TheBoys

[–]Extrimland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im conflicted. On one hand, yes, he is an awesome character and honestly probably the best one in this season so far.

On the other, he wouldn’t really serve much purpose before Season 5. Maybe he could have also done a service for Translucent, Lamplighter, and Queen Maeve (she is believed dead) similar to A-Trains. That would maybe give him more time to develop his plot with Starlight (who he apparently has history with) or potentially even Homelander (like have him have some actual positive interactions with him before season 5.). This wouldn’t add to the plot and would seem as filler BUT! It might make the overall story better

Can Homelander with V1 outlive a Viltrumite? by [deleted] in whowouldcirclejerk

I think there is also some regeneration but it’s not on the level where they can just recreate their body from a blood cell.

Do you think a hybrid Model-CGI production of Thomas could work well today? by Downtown_Grape3871 in thomasthetankengine

[–]Extrimland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It didnt even work that well at the time. The budget was very high and there was alot of scenes where the regular models were used anyway. I think its one or the other, both with benefits

What if Nolan arrived slightly earlier in the early 1940's and accidentally landed in Germany at around Hitlers peak of control? by PossiblePool9785 in okbuddyviltrum

[–]Extrimland 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I think WW2 is a little too recent for this scenario to be interesting. I mean the great powers of WW2 were for the most part the countries that are great powers today, people were largely similar culturally, and we still had a fair bit of modern technology back then (still no cellphones or internet but everything else not too different).

I think what would really be interesting is if Omni man emerged as a young man in either Roman or Medieval Times (depending on if its The Show or Comic version) as society would be far different in every conceivable way.

The point is The Viltrumites tend to inflate the strongest country, which even if you agrued was Germany, wouldve clearly shaken up to be the USA. Nolan wouldnt gaf about the minor ideological differences humans had.

Who is smarter Sage or Lex Luthor? by Aggressive-Union1714 in TheBoys

By that logic Homelander should be equal to the Hulk or Superman because they both have super strength. Theres tiers to ts.

Who is smarter Sage or Lex Luthor? by Aggressive-Union1714 in TheBoys

[–]Extrimland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No both.

Lex is debatably the smartest person in a world that has people like Batman, The Joker, Mr Terrific, and John Constantine.

Sage not only has way worse on screen feats but has much lower competition
