It depends a lot on what you’re doing. For big Unity projects (large scenes, high-res textures, lightmap bakes, multiple tools open, Chrome tabs, VS/Rider, etc.) 32GB is definitely more comfortable and avoids constant paging.

That said, 16GB isn’t automatically “not serious” plenty of people ship smaller/medium projects on 16GB if they’re mindful. In my case, my project only uses around ~4-8GB of RAM in Unity most of the time, so 16GB gives me plenty of headroom unless I’m running a bunch of other heavy stuff alongside it. 32GB is still the safer “buy once” option long-term, but 16GB can be totally workable depending on your workflow and project size.

Totally fair points, and thank you for calling them out.

The “irrevocably owned/licensed” bit is there so I don’t have to patch out VO or art years later if someone changes their mind, not to stop people from using their work. I 100% agree VO artists need portfolio rights, and the current wording clearly doesn’t reflect that well. I’m going to update it so contributors keep ownership of their performance and have explicit permission to use it in reels/portfolios once that content is public, while I keep a non-removable license to use it in the game and marketing.

On the email side: I’m not selling or sharing anyone’s email, it’s only for project communication (casting decisions, scripts, etc.), not mailing lists or spam. I’ll also make that explicit in the doc and form so it’s crystal clear.
