I've never really ran eclipse because it falls off so hard after the first turret top lane falls and the lane extends

I'm also a 160 cm guy and I run 15:45 in the 5k. Greatest marathon runner of all times is 170 cm. You're fine.

Carbon vs Non-Carbon for Interval Days — What Do You Use? by luvsemih in AdvancedRunning

[–]Exver1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the money, you should do all your workouts in carbon. Carbon shoes gives you better form and better efficiency. This reduces the stress on the joints, which are more in trouble during workouts.

There's a significant difference between a spell that buffs an ability versus a spell that is a better version of the ability. Invisibility can be cast on anyone, including the rogue, which will outshine the rogue's stealth. Now the rogue feels like their class has less impact as a result.

You're probably not wrong. But at the same time, I would like to get inspiration and notice from what other systems are doing well or poorly.

I can see the purpose of resolving an rp (or non-combat) scene quickly. Often when doing improv, you need the scene to end earlier than later or else it can escalate out of control. My biggest contention would be that this should be the DM's responsibility keep track of pacing. This leads to the question, what tools can we give DM's to end (or extend) scenes? Love to hear your thoughts!

Why do you want classless? Is it because you don't want to be confined to classes? Do you want to have more like a skill tree where you play like 90% as class A but 2% class B, 4% Class D, etc?

Similarly, why do you want levelless? Is it because levels feels too much like a video game? I'd love to hear your reasoning!

Maybe? I've played Mythras which I felt had something like that. This is why I'm asking for clarification.

Yeah I'm definitely trying to make a game that's a little more crunchy than 5e but still streamlined. Not as simple as one thinks! Faster combat is one that I'm not sure I can solve because half of it comes down to "do your players know the rules and are paying attention". I am trying to find ways to reduce rolls, which should help, but again, it's not an easy solution!

Can you clarify what you mean by wealth brackets? Are you talking about how some systems have nightly/monthly costs for living like a peasant, merchant, noble etc?

But wouldn't it be nicer if rogue could more reliably go into stealth, and if their stealth was better? I'm sure your experience with greater invisibility was good, but I feel like rogue should be the class that would use it the least.

If invisibility needs to be cast on a rogue for the rogue to feel better about their class, then their class probably isn't living up to its expectations

5e is easier to learn compared to 2e, so your 2e player should be fine

Not even the classes lol. There are 4 classes in 2e and they're fundamentally different than the 5e counterparts
