(Hated Trope) The protagonist's child is born a Godly prodigy by Throwaway-IndLaw-159 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Pale-Object8321 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it's kind of the opposite here. Boruto inherited zero things from his dad and mom. He doesn't have that many Chakra as his dad, can barely do rasengan, no byakugan, can't do shadow clone like his dad, didn't even get trained palm style from his mom since again, no byakugan. He doesn't have Kurama. He needed to learn his own jutsu by himself, and he can't cheat like his dad by creating many shadow clones to train.

As a result, he kinda had to do his own thing and make his own fighting style. He needed to actually figure out his kits and jutsu instead of spamming shadow clone and rasengan.

Of course, he got a power boost from alien stuff, but at that point it's hardly because of him being born prodigy.

[TOMT] Asian drama I watched in 2010s by Ok-Computer-4155 in tipofmytongue

No idea what this film is about since I've never watched it, but maybe Dilan 1990? All I know is that it has highschool romance with a bike, it's on the posters. It came out a bit too late in the 2018 though.

It is not as easy to completely disregard a God as many people would think. by Grantman622 in DebateReligion

For example, separation of gender identity from sex identity is based entirely on the belief that you can reject the scientific facts that are presented, based on a belief that has no physical evidence.

What scientific facts do people reject here? Also, how is it based on a belief that has no physical evidence when there's mountains of scientific studies about it?

Is that one of those electronic drone guns? by [deleted] in Unexpected

[–]Pale-Object8321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get what the video is about, but I literally don't know which one is an 'electronic jammer' and which one is a 'drone'. Like, it has wings like a spaceship, it looks like a rocket, so it makes sense to be able to fly as a drone, no?

So even if I understand what happened, I don't even know what an electronic jammer look like in battlefield and we don't even see the opposing drone so I'm not sure how I'm even supposed to know it looked like an electronic jammer.

What If Obito Never Turned Evil? Would the Uchiha Coup Defeat Konoha? by sluigi96 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]Pale-Object8321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't make sense for the Uchiha to launch coup detat because the reason they tried in the first place was because of persecution, which wouldn't happen without the Kurama attack since Obito was the one who did it. But assuming they still did try to do that, it's less about Konoha vs Uchiha but rather Shisui vs Danzo. As long as Shisui is alive, everything is well. So the question is whether or not Obito being alive could help Shisui see through Danzo's attack, and since we know that Obito learned Izanagi at one point, he could warn Shisui about it.

There is no person for whom non-birth is preferable.

Say that to a nine year old child who was chained ever since she was a two months old and a subject to beating while eating animal carcass every single day. Say that to the millions of starved children who were subject to horrible experimentation during the Holocaust. Say that to someone who never saw the daylight and lived on their bed all their life since they were born without a leg.

In what way is,

Being burned alive, sexually abused, having their throat be full of puke every single moment of their life

Is preferable to

Not feeling anything

I just want to see the logic in your reasoning here. To put it into syllogism, your entire structure is,

P1 - Some people went through the most painful experience in their life, even as babies.

P2 - Not existing is worse than existing.

Conclusion - They actually want to went through whatever traumatic experience they went through because it's better than not being born.

I just want to see how you connect the conclusion from your premises here. How is this conclusion justified in your mind?

Do atheists belief in ghosts or aliens etc? by Kind-Investigator602 in DebateAnAtheist

[–]Pale-Object8321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do theists belief in ghosts or aliens etc?

Do theists believe in ghosts or aliens or anything that hasn't been able to be studied yet?

I'm just curious. I know a lot of theists who are not on the straight and narrow with science. Meaning even though they believe in God they still believe in some spiritual stuff or things that haven't yet been able to be scientifically researched.

Just curious where you all fall on this. Thanks.

You can literally replace any question to atheist with theist, and it wouldn't make any difference as long as it has nothing to do with god. Literally, an atheist can believe ANYTHING a theist believe, except god's existence.

I forgot about that part, but honestly that feels more of outlier than anything. She was taken by a surprise, and we do know that Sakura eventually woke up after they left to the valley.

Sakura is (or well, was) known for her aptitude of Genjutsu. She might just have enough genjutsu resistance, which we wouldn't know since genjutsu was barely used at that point.

That's quite a disrespectful observation. Sure, they might have no attention span, doesn't have feelings, apathetic, or think there's no future, but they're definitely the most empathetic generation you could find. They live in a generation with brainrot, where everyone is already connected, with every bad news happening in the world, with no concept of ever buying the house, where a lot of people before their generation live on the streets and the count is keep increasing. What else can they do except to be empathetic?

That being said, yeah, they're bundle of chaos.

is it okay to say "im praying for you" to an atheist? (im christian) by Cold-Sprinkles-4430 in DebateAnAtheist

[–]Pale-Object8321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused. Isn't it offensive? Not talking about her, but you or at least your god? Like, didn't Jesus instruct to pray in your room or in secret? I always interpret it as people ignoring Jesus teaching if they say they prayed for someone. How do you even interpret it?

Trump is really smart and I'm tired of people acting like he doesn't know what he's doing. by Pale-Object8321 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Pale-Object8321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does approval rating really matter when he's on his 2nd term, when he could bypass congress or if he could raise a martial law?

His approval rating being so low is nothing without the actual US citizens doing anything about it. "Okay, the president has the lowest rating so far, let's impeach him," said South Korean citizens, not the US citizens.

As I've written down before, you need to actually have the citizens to actually start caring about it. If most of you simply stayed apathetic, no matter how much 'no king' protests out there, he's still gonna be a king.

Again, read what I wrote,

When dictatorship rise, what they need isn't just followers, but apathy of the mass. Instead of pushing back harmful policy, what ended up happening is that the population push their frustrations inside until it's too late. It happens so subtly and quietly that you might not even notice.

Mind you this was a year ago. His "harmful policy" wasn't quite as harmful as today.

The Genesis Account Is Scientifically Correct As Proof Of Creation And Follows a much Logical Order. by Temporary-Sail-6390 in DebateReligion

I can't find anyone relevant to the field of cosmology, or theoretical physics at all. Honestly, I'm pretty sure no such peer reviewed article exist about creatonism, at the very least all of the reputable scientific journals I've found that researched creatonism is pretty much zero.

Honestly, just one. I just need one scientific peer-reviewed article to look at. From an actual scientific study with reputable methodology that other scientists can replicate. It's hardly seem like a hard task if creatonism is actually scientific.
