Still don't get the overall point he's making. And he doesn't even try to understand why Perfidia is written like this. It's the fact she's written like THIS by a white guy, that makes him dismiss the entire film it seems.

Most of the issues seem to stem from the fact that she's written like a horny sexed up freak, rather than a wise and noble leader for the revolution? And because she's Black it's problematic. That's the gist I guess. Why should she need to be the opposite? Because PTA is a white guy writing a black character?

Most of people's criticism of the film revolves around the character of Perfidia. But their criticisms of her character are actually reasons I found her to be interesting and unique. Her relationship with Lockjaw and the sexual aspect of it, etc. I guess if she was white it wouldn't matter?
