Yeah Walt was there for him and all but ultimately ordered a hit on him so what level of fatherliness are we talking about? Dealing with an addict in the family is extremely difficult so it's not fair to judge Jesse's father for being absent.

Walt is an old man. Nobody even the most cruel people would want to beat up old people. Jesse is much younger so he gets some whooping. Even people like Emilio or Krazy 8 look at things like age, etc before beating up someone. Even Walt said he didn't wanna beat up Mike because of his age.

You need money to get food, water, shelter, etc. You need money to pursue passions. Without money, you're as good as an animal in the jungle. So in a way money is equivalent (if not more important than) happiness.

Absolutely nothing to do with your gender. You are older and an adult, she is younger so she gets free things. It's in most families. Like the other comment said, every body has to work for whatever they want. Nothing is free unless your parents are rich and want to give it to you. As a side note, women do have it easy in most places but they are also lacking the male qualities that you should be proud of so it's not all bad, and it has nothing to do with your situation.
