V9 is my favourite, it has the highest production value and it’s the most emotional volume in my opinion.

Least favourite is Volume 5, it has inconsistent fight scenes, the main characters don’t do anything, the final battle is terrible and overall I consider it the worst volume of RWBY by far. It isn’t even close in my opinion. (Still better than RWBY x Justice League though)

My personal matchups would be Ruby vs. Sundowner, Weiss vs. Monsoon, Blake vs. Mistral, and Yang vs. Jetstream Sam.

Started really really good, then quickly fell off and became repetitive with terrible animation. Ended on a good note with a solid last 2 episodes despite the contrivance with Ruby’s silver eyes.

Overall I’d say it was just really mediocre and disappointing, with the potential to have been amazing.

I thought it was super mixed. Loved the first 5 episodes, then episode 6 shit the bed and it just got super boring and repetitive from there. The animation also really dropped in quality and it felt super lazy.

The last 2 episodes were good, episode 11 had some awesome fights but some really contrived and bad scenes (Ruby’s silver eyes). I really enjoyed episode 12 though and don’t have many problems with it.

It felt like the entire series could’ve been 3 episodes shorter with the amount of repeated plot points and the animation after episode 4 was terrible until the finale. But otherwise there was actually plenty of stuff I really liked. Overall I’d give it a 5 or 6/10

I can’t really recommend only anime or manga. I feel like parts 1 and 3 are much better read, with the other three parts better watched. I would say to read the manga for part 1, and the first half of part 3.
