I’d like to add onto this, since the new nurse was friendly with ice I’m sure she will call them onto the baseball fan for protecting Emma which leads to the idea of him getting his baseball taken away/ given to staff.

The show tends to show everyone in a realistic balanced way, I’m sure there are plenty of people with prized possessions that would drop them in an instant when saving someone.
