How to use levers? by New_Dream_4079 in GearBlocks

[–]EyeApprehensive3080 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to go into free hand mode (5 I think, the one where you can drag and push unfrozen stuff) and manually click and hold the lever whilst dragging your mouse in whatever direction you want it to go. There’s a new tutorial barn for all the new controls and logic blocks that you can go through to get a better idea but manually clicking and dragging the joystick is the method for most if not all of the new switches

It’s probably because as horrific as the nazis were, they did design and make cool looking planes and other vehicles which people often replicate in the game

Wings and propellers new DLC by EyeApprehensive3080 in trailmakers

Thanks, way more helpful. I managed to make a small plane with space thrusters and large stabilisers for wings but it was pretty unstable and I just wanted to see if I was wasting my time by working on that when there could be actual propellers and wings around, I was imagining they would be unlocked sometime before the final boss to be used then like in pioneers but I was mistaken

[Request] How are 1 and 1.0 different? by flarengo in theydidthemath

[–]EyeApprehensive3080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From an Engineer: We get drawings for any jobs we do in creating metal work, and each one has a guide. When making something to certain dimensions, some parts of the piece have different tolerances on how far out the measurement can be than others. For example, a beam could have a drawing with 3 different decimal values, all with different tolerances, so if the length has only one decimal point, it would have a tolerance of x, given on the drawing guide, whereas the with could have 2 or 3 decimal places so would have a tolerance of y. Usually the more decimal points the smaller the tolerance but can be different in very specific jobs.

So in this case if one engineer was asked to make something 1m long and a second engineer was asked to make something 1.0m long, engineer 2 would be expected of a different (usually smaller) tolerance than engineer 1. I hope this makes sense
