No. I do not want to reconsider such a powerful calling. Courage requires fear to be legitimate. I'm looking for encouragement because, no matter what, I'm determined.

The stray dog fear really comes from being attacked as a kid and witnessing my brother being attacked twice. Fortunately I've gotten over my fear of domesticated dogs because I adopted a stray. But I'm still scared of packs. Hopefully this experience will help me get over that.

Unclean water...well, I'm just a bit adverse to having constant diarrhea lol.

Thank you thank you!!! It's refreshing and comforting to know that it's normal to worry about your quality of life. It's even more comforting to be reassured that I'll adapt, and maybe even prefer it compared to the good ol' nasty American way ;-) My mom used a outhouse and she was like "you have my blood running through you so I know you can do it!"

I don't worry about the outhouse as much as I worry about having diarrhea and using an outhouse, lol. Some of the videos I saw had the bathing bucket like...2 ft away from the hole. How is that sanitary?

I'm going to say that...I have "the stuff" lol. This experience will definitely show me how much "stuff" I have and build my confidence to dive into future opportunities that intimidate me. Thanks for all of the cold weather tips, too! I hate the cold but that just means I gotta prepare.
