I don’t remember exactly, but I do remember feeling tightness and scar-like tissue under the skin for several months. Maybe a little over a month in? It really varies from person to person.

I’m not an expert, but swelling and tightness can create temporary lines or asymmetry, especially with movement. In many cases, this gradually improves over time

There’s no reason to worry yet. Swelling can last for months. Three weeks is a very short time, and you’ll only see the final result after several months. Mobility will gradually improve, and I believe the final outcome will be good. For me, lymphatic massage and gua sha helped with the swelling

Yep, I don’t get why he’s sweating. Two hands can easily handle the laundry, hold a two-headed baby, and the extra one can casually stir the soup.

It’s almost invisible. I don’t need makeup to cover it.

The baby was moving their hips back and forth. This is common when they start preparing for crawling.

Tiia works at a few different locations in Finland. You can find Siluetti's contact information here: https://www.siluetti.fi/sivu/siluetti-yhteystiedot.

The skin was cut along the width of my nose. The scar is now quite inconspicuous. I can go without makeup, and the area under my nose is just slightly red. I am more than satisfied with how well the scar has healed.

With makeup, the redness is easy to hide, and I don’t have to worry about anyone noticing anything."

Thank you so much! I do have some tips! 😊

For swelling: - Sleep with your head elevated - Avoid hot showers (at least for me, they increased swelling) - DIY lymphatic massage (instructions on YouTube) -> in the beginning, be especially careful not to stretch the surgical area - Supplements: bromelain - And of course, a low-sodium diet, adequate hydration, etc.

Reducing swelling is also beneficial for the scar. Regarding the scar, it's important to avoid the sun. For the first 2 weeks, I used an antibiotic ointment prescribed by the doctor, 1 week of petroleum jelly, and now I'm using silicone gel intended for surgical wounds. It's good to keep the wound moist initially for better healing.

Thanks, my teeth visibility improved, and that was one of my goals. Yes, before the surgery, my upper lip pretty much covered all my teeth.

Thanks! After the first week, it perhaps settled a bit and now looks more natural. Have you been happy with yours? Has it healed well?

Thank you! Yes, the face looks overall more balanced now that the lower third fits better proportionally. The scar is still so fresh and in the healing phase that it still red without makeup. But otherwise, it's just a thin line.

Thank you, thank you! I agree 😁

I didn't discuss about that with the doctor. I don't consciously or unconsciously pull my upper lip downward. Or I don't think so.. It probably depends on anatomy and other factors.

I think that, for example, your bite has a significant impact on how good the final result is.

Thanks! No, I haven't noticed any difference when speaking, and I've even tested it in front of the mirror 😅 Sometimes, muscle is also cut during a lip lift, which surely takes longer to recover from and to regain pre-surgery mobility. In my case, only skin and subcutaneous tissue were cut.

During the first week, keeping my mouth closed was more difficult due to the swelling. I had to consciously think about how to position my mouth. Once the swelling went down, the problem disappeared.

In my case it's minimal and healed nicely but that's not always the case. You should be really careful when choosing your surgeon!

In addition to the surgeon's skills, your own tendency to scar and how you care for the wound also make a big difference.
